Not too much lol here in fact. It's not something I listen to every day, but Michael, despite being a cunt, is a great singer.

I know he's a good singer and good songwriter. That doesn't mean he is a good fit for Queen however.

Of all the singers.

They couldn't have gotten someone with actual talent? Queen could've gotten any other singer and it would've been a thousand times better than Lamber.

And wasn't the last tour they did with him a bust? I know it was short.

6 dates in Europe in 2012. 3 of which were at the same venue.

I think it'll do fairly well here since, aside from an hour long set in Vegas last year, Q+AL haven't performed in NA and it's been over 8 years since any incarnation of Queen has toured here. I'm going just to experience the wall of Brian May's Vox AC30's :rocker:

Still waiting for that final Freddie-album.

Still waiting for that final Freddie-album.

Yep. That should be out this year.

Although if they don't get around to putting it together because they're too busy fucking around with money-grab tours like this, I'll be unhappy.

I'm not surprised they're trying this though. They were supposed to headline Sonisphere here a couple of years ago and it got cancelled, so Queen replaced it with two nights at Hammersmith Apollo at 75 for the cheapest tickets, and sold out both nights. I think they did a couple of shows in Europe which also sold out, and one Stateside last September which also sold out. As shitty as this whole idea is, there are apparently enough people dumb enough to pay for it.

I wonder where it went wrong between them & Paul Rodgers, who I still consider to be one of the greatest singers ever. Looks like he's 30 too.

I think Paul Rodgers said it just ran its course and he wanted to go back to Bad Co and do some solo stuff. I wish they would have did the setlist they do know with Rodgers alot of good tunes that are ruined by the douche they have singing now

They should just get Maynard James Keenan so that way when the new Tool album doesn't come out this year, they can blame that!

He didn't rule out any collaboration in the future, tho.

Ah well.

No idea who this Adam guy is but I just watched some of that Vegas show and I thought he did the songs pretty damn well

Plus I'd go just to see Brian may rip it up

90, more or less. Which is about the same as they charged for the best tickets when they played London.

And people still go? What's wrong with them? Here, that price is an outlier.

Because people going to see the likes of Bon Jovi, The Who, Lady Gaga, Jay Z, etc have the money to spend.

Kings Of Leon just played here and most nosebleeds were around $95+. Cheapest were $70 plus. Floor seats started at $200 with most seats coming in groups of two that I saw for around $450

No way in hell those are face value prices.

They were at the Garden last month and the range was 30 for balcony and up to 85 for floor.

Any time I tell family members or coworkers that I go to anywhere from 5-15 shows a year, they all react with "Where do you get the money", until I tell them the price range of the tickets.

I know, I don't go to nearly as many as a lot of people here. I was just following up on a comment about concert goers in general. It's all relative.

Indeed. I'd say concert goers in general aren't really concert goers. Or, they are, just as much as I'm a theatre goer.
