Nope, MDF is awesome and all but everyone knows I'm WAY more into hardcore than the majority of the bands MDF has. I honestly don't listen to 60%+ of the MDF bands billed.

I've known for over a month, one of the guys in Downset lives in my area and I ran into him at a show with one of his other bands, couple big surprises but I absolutely knew about KSE.

This Is Hardcore
All of you complaining about Killswitch or Unearth not being hardcore...the irony here is that you obviously were not around 10+ years ago when they came up in hardcore, and bands of their ilk were the norm in the scene. They transcended it, got some success, but never changed. Good for them. We're beyond stoked to have them. Don't care? Neither do we. Leave early or stand outside and post on instagram like a real hardcore kid.

Gotta agree with the folks running it, first times I saw KSE and Unearth were hardcore shows(shit the KSE show was 10 bucks), also first time in over a decade either Downset or E Town Concrete has actually played in Philly

first time i saw unearth in 2000, they were first on a bill with hope conspiracy, earth crisis (slither era), headlined by converge because they got stuck in traffic (and i left before them because i was a moron)

first time i saw killswitch was in 2002 two months before AOJB came out, they played 3rd after 2 locals, followed by god forbid, diecast, shai hulud

The first time I saw Unearth was sometime in 2001, but racking my brain now I can't remember if it was with Bane & Adamantium (Adamantium's last tour was around this time) or if it was with Throwdown (who were touring nonstop during that period). I hadn't heard of them, but I had a couple friends who were obsessing mad over The Stings of Conscience.

Unearth's live performance was OK, but I thought they improved substantially when I saw them again some years later after III In the Eyes of Fire was released.

To me the most unexpected name on the flier is Crowbar.

Knuckledust is the UK band, right?

So.... they were metalcore bands that came up playing shows with hardcore bands....

Using the logic of the promoters in 10 years deathcore bands will be headlining MDF because Suicide Silence toured with Carcass once.

Saw both in 2003, KSE was direct support for a Boysetsfire show/DVD shoot. Unearth played a VFW hall with Lamb of God, Every Time I Die, All Else Failed, Nora, A Life Once Lost, Twelve Tribes, The Minor Times, and I forget who else.

Stupid question: What's a VFW Hall? Wikipedia just gives me some stuff about the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and I don't want to read through that entire thing to see if they're related. Also, i'm supposed to be doing work.

Also the only one that REALLY surprises me is KSE. I see how Unearth fits in, and hasn't title fight played once before? Eitherway Defeater has played it as well so its not too surprising

Bro we get it, you have a hard on for hardcore no need to remind the world every time ya mention anything hardcore related.

Sick line-up still even though they are always very similar. Title Fight is the best band :D

KSE finally clarified the statement about their set. It will be exclusively from the albums Jesse sang on focusing mostly on the first 2.

Probably not that big a deal since they did all of AOJB recently, but dammit I want to hear "Into the Unblind"

KSE is one of my favorite bands ever but 98% of people don't give a shit about that first album and they play a good chunk of AOJB live anyway.

Probably because they remember the band from the Howard albums more. I'm keeping in mind a lot of people bitched about that days lineup as a whole anyway(namely KSE headlining with Unearth and Crowbar). It ended up being 26 with surchages(cheaper than it's been in years) and TIH typically does no guardrail and a smaller/lower stage than the venue generally has. So I'm stoked on that.

I'm guessing there's a good chance, honestly I know they'll do a few new ones but I'm thinking not many. I'm excited though, 10 years ago I saw them play a dump in allentown where the idiots in the crowd fucked the rail up and they had to delay the show causing KSE to cut their set short. They ended up cutting "Temple from Within"(which if I did hear live I don't remember and it'd have been once in Jan 2003 at best) and "Into the Unblind"(which I've never heard live). So I'm so in for a chance to hear those two, also possibly "The Element of One"(which I heard once in Jan of 2003). Although twice since Jesse's come back I've missed KSE shows because of illness or bad injuries(and atleast 2 early shows with Howard from festivals) I've still seen them 16 times so it'll be nice to hear stuff I've either never heard or heard when they had just signed to Roadrunner.

TIH always has no barrier, its one of the main points with that venue.

Only time they put a rail up is like last year with GWAR headlining they had a rail put up right before the band.
