Yeah, usually we get a shitload of snow but it's not that cold, or we don't get much snow and it's cold as fuck. This year it's been both, and fuck that. Fuck you, mother nature. I actually used to like shoveling. This winter is breaking me.

In other news, as for things I LIKE: My dog in deep snow. He's a Jack Russell - Bull Terrier mix, so he's little but with long spindly legs and a little barrel-like body. He bounds around like a jack rabbit and if I toss snow at him he goes apeshit trying to eat it all lol... what a little fucker.

To be honest, there's no more or less risk than if he knew for sure it was acid and got it from someone he knew personally. Just because it's old and from an unknown source doesn't mean it's less safe. It's not like it gets more potent after lying around for awhile.

Taking acid is always risky, unless you're a chemist and witnessed it being made, or made it yourself (and still the risk isn't zero). It's far more likely if he tried it that nothing would happen, either because it's old and ineffective, or quite possibly, not acid at all.

Not trying to encourage the guy to take it - just pointing out the facts.

It does make for an interesting story, though. Most important question is, what album was it?

Yeah, it definitely wouldn't be my first time taking the stuff but I know what you're saying. It's always risky taking drugs that are made on the street because you don't know what's in them/how potent it is, but hey I'm down for the challenge. It was a copy of Sepultura - Schizophrenia, and when I pulled the vinyl out of the sleeve I saw a little piece of tin foil fall out. I thought it was just trash at first but I looked closer and found that it was three little squares wrapped up in the foil. They're water-marked and perforated so it sure as hell looks like the acid I've seen. When I have lots of free time or a good show to go to I'll have to take the old plunge

At least it sounds like Moobs and Razor will be there, so I'll have somebody to annoy while I'm at the venue. I'm about 90% sold. One of my friends on FB posted earlier today, "in the end the progressive movement will fail."

I told him I thought the progressive movement failed 85 years ago. He said it's still going on and flying under a new flag, and that the progressive movement he's talking about is a political and social agenda that seeks to destroy the church and moral law, and lead people away from God.

Any thoughts on that?

I think the churches themselves are doing more harm to their institution, then any political social agenda. Organized religion in general suffers from failing to use common sense and being ignorant. For example gay rights is 100% analogous to the civil rights movement, and yet the organization long since dropped being against blacks having equal rights, but wants to hold tight onto being bigots against homosexuals? And then there are new scientific discoveries that the church wants to denounce because it doesn't fit within their biblical picture. Like the recent BICEP announcement measuring the gravitational waves moments after the Big Bang. The problem with not accepting this science is that in time these publications will become very well known, documented, verified, and proven fact. And when that happens, what does that do for the Churches credibility? Destroys it. If the institution wants to keep its relevance then it must move away from its hard line stances on issues such as these, and really just start using a little more common sense.

Schedule a cruise for yourself to the Bahamas or somewhere tropical! Those are the best! Super cheap, great entertainment, easy to get smashed safely, plus you get to enjoy the tropics. The first 3 night Bahama cruise I went on, I paid 200 dollars total which included 3 nights stay on the boat to the Bahamas, and all you can eat food for the entire trip. Excellent value.

I wish I had scheduled another cruise, but I think taking a 6 month old baby on a cruise is probably a bad idea. She was just born late may.

I've never really been interested in a cruise. Ever since I was stranded at sea drifting towards Cuba, and forced to turn my urine into drinking water, I haven't had any desire to be on a boat. Not that I would turn it down in any case, but I'd rather fly or drive.

I really want to hit up some beaches in Thailand. They're beautiful and unpopulated. Plus I have some friends over there I really want to meet back up with. I'm going to try to make that happen in the next few years.

I went deep sea fishing off the coast of Key West when I was 15. About 30-40 miles out (don't know for sure, but we were in international waters) the engine died and we lost radio communication. We were drifting at 1-2 knots towards Cuba, and we were absolutely powerless to do anything about it. It was one of those "I can't believe this is fucking happening" moments.

We ran out of water pretty quickly and everybody started panicking. It was hot. The sun was beating down by late morning and early afternoon. Lucky for them, I knew how to purify urine, fruit peels, saliva, salt water, etc. into drinking water. And by good fortune we had all the necessary tools on the boat to do it with.

As it turned out we would have been okay regardless, as rescue came around 8:00 that night.

lol wow that's a crazy story. Even if you were only drifting for a day, still seems like a pretty scary moment. What was wrong with the engine that you couldnt get it started back up? I assume you didnt just run out of gas, as that would be pretty poor management. And who owns a boat but doesnt know how to work on motors? and the radio dying at the same time? That's pretty insane.

Same here. We're going the last week in October / first week in November. The boys (4 and 8) are both stoked, but the twins (girls, 2 years old) really have no idea what's in store for them. They're happy because Mommy keeps making a big deal out of it, but it won't really sink in until we're there.

Personally, I'd much rather be going diving somewhere with my wife and no kids, but family fun times are awesome, too.

Oh, and congrats on the recent bundle of joy. Babies are awesome, and they sure don't stay babies for long. Enjoy!

Wow- We are just missing each other! We are going to be there the second week in November. Where are you staying? We are staying at the Art of Animation resort. Going to spend 2 days in Magic Kingdom, 2 in Hollywood, and 1 each for Animal Kingdom and Epcot. The last time we went to Disney world, my kids were the same age as yours... and it was fun for everyone for different reasons. Oldest loved rides, and youngest characters. This time everyone is looking forward to the rides... My kids are 12, 9, 8, and then 0 :) And before anyone says "Looks like your newest is an uh oh child" - No. It's actually the first one we planned but are slow learners

I hear you on the diving somewhere tropical. We love going on cruises... and probably would have booked another Disney Cruise this time, if we werent so concerned about taking a 6 month old on a cruise ship. Seems like having a stroller on a boat would be hard to manage.

Where are you staying?During our time at Disney, we'll be at the Nickelodeon Suites Resort. I've been told the kids will absolutely love that place. Then we'll be staying at a Homewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista for a few days while we visit Sea World (now THAT's what Dad's talking about! :D). Then we're off to Marco Island for a week to stay in a rented condo on / near the beach. I'm hoping to take my oldest snorkeling.

Truth be told, Disney is only a stop along the way - not the primary focus of the trip. However, if the kids really dig it, we may bring them back again in a few years when they're a bit older. The only one that's been there is our oldest, who was only about a year old at the time and doesn't remember a thing.

No clue what was wrong with the engine. Our captain didn't have a clue either. We lucked up and flagged down another boat just before dark (it was sheer luck that another boat was out there); they radioed in to Sea Base, Sea Base dispatched another boat to come out and pull us in. They pulled us about 20 miles to some island and we spent the night there.

We had to wade through about 150 yards of quicksand-like ocean floor and seaweed to get to the island.

I don't like the lawn at my new house as much as my old house because it's built on a hill and mowing right next to the fence is a pain in the ass. It's too bad there's so many weeds but they outlawed all the good pesticides in Ontario around ten years ago and (aside from a lot of labor) there's not much I can do.
