Great news! Asheville, NC has a metal population? I thought it was just all filled with hippies.

This will probably piss people off, but I really think they're gonna end up touring with Five Finger Death Punch this year

I hope so. I want to start a satanic ritual in the middle of a pit at a FFDP show. Just 'cause

Finally a freaking Ghost date I can go to after having missed them all last year! It's the Sunday after my graduation that Friday but by the evening I would think most of my family would be leaving so hopefully it shouldn't be an issue.

Are we SURE In Solitude aren't on this tour? I just got a notification yesterday from the BandsInTown thing saying they just announced a show in my area, being where Ghost is playing on the same day (but does not mention Ghost). I kinda hope they are on it. Ghost are alright, but King Dude is awful. In Solitude are basically the make or break it factor in this show.

Nothing on their FB page and BandsInTown isn't that great of a source. I stopped using them when they couldn't distinguish tribute bands from the actual ones.

"Damnit, for the last time, ACDC is NOT playing in Antrim, New Hampshire!"

bandsintown is a tool, its only as accurate as the information available to it. just like your precious songkick.

and yes, the band announced king dude as the opener. most venues have them correctly listed at this point and not in solitude.

I wish the King Dude guy would reunite Teen Cthulhu instead and have them open for Ghost. At least Book Of Black Earth man.

I thought Ticketmaster was bad with fees, the NYC show is sold through Axs(?) and a $25 ticket ends up being $39.50. wtf

How the hell can they charge $5 to mail a letter?! At least for now TM doesn't charge anything to mail out a ticket. What is this AXS crap anyway? A quick Google search tells me it's part of AEG...oh great, another partner/owner of venues. How thrilling.

One word for this show...DOOR.

Wait so Ghost are playing in Chicago then playing in Joliet which is just around a hour away?

detuned
03-03-2014, 07:19 AM
both bandsintown and songkick not only allow bands to create profiles and list their shows, but they also scrape ticket/event websites. and im going to guess they havent programmed it intelligently enough to weed out, omit, or differentiate certain things, so probably all it takes is a venue to list something like "cover night: black sabbath" for one of the sites to list it as the actual band.

I might go to the Santa Ana show. I'm not sure yet. I saw them at the Roxy and El Rey and they were cool, but I know it'll be pretty much the same setlist again.
