Apparently the band is set to make an announcement on Jan 28

Vince mentioned this in an interview a while back. Supposed to last 2 years and be the most extensive tour they've ever done & by the last leg of the tour, it'll be the 35th anniversary of the debut.

Now, if they have a setlist like when they made the comeback in 2004/2005, I'll go. But if it's gonna be virtually the same shit we've seen since 2009, I'll probably pass.

Steev
01-10-2014, 03:57 PM
The 2 best times I've seen them(out of the 6 I've seen) were the first date of Crüe Fest 2(when they had rehearsed in the venue for a week straight) and on the tour supporting Kiss after Vince broke his leg. His voice is usually the thing that defines a good or bad set from them.

Hopefully they will stay away for good after this. They're a joke live these days.

I'd only put Vince in the joke department.

Instrumentally, they always kick ass live. Especially Mick.

Vince is the only weak link in the band.

Hell no, then we never would've gotten their best album. Y'know, the one with that dude that could actually sing.

I'm happy they did a reunion a few years back. For my friend and I it's one of the best things they did because we actually got to see them. I will end up seeing them again on this especially if the anniversary tour is them playing the original album in its entirety. I'm down with that.

They still kill it live, the setlist is just always boring as hell. They never change anything up.

Every individual element of that poster (the logos, the images, the text blocks) is surrounded by pixelation. Absolutely classic example of a knock-up in Paint.

blabbermouth (http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/motley-crues-final-tour-to-feature-support-from-alice-cooper/) says eddie trunk was the source of this. i cant imagine someone like him would have posted it without being fairly sure of its validity. he has since removed it as well, without any sort of "sorry that was fake" or anything like that.

If this poster is real than HECK YEAH! It will be nice to see Crue one last time, and if Alice Cooper is there that's even better, because it will probably be the only time he's here in Georgia.

Did the VIP presale, tried two different computers for Camden, NJ. One gave me the section after the Pit and one wouldnt even load(after another try it gave me the section behind the Pit again). Allentown the only decent seats were the 4,000 buck M&Gs. Atlantic City doesnt go onsale yet and theres only 2 ticket prices since it will be all GA. Holmdel I got on and after 10 minutes or so it put me through and I was able to get 7th row CENTER.

Sounds like you've been had.

When I saw The Who in 2008 it was about that much just to be on the floor(and we were like 20 rows back) same with Van Halen(and that cost more). The venue it's at is extremely close if you're in the first 10 rows or so. Went to Uproar there last year and was maybe 8 or 9 rows back and caught like 6 picks from AiC.

If this wasnt their last tour I wouldn't do it, but this will almost definitely be my last time seeing them.

Tommy won't be doing the VIP meet and greet, and in that case good for him! Charging fans prices like that to meet the band is crazy.

Yeah, and at a venue with free parking and 75 bucks worth merch. That rate it's 190 a ticket for seats that are on Stub Hub for 900 right now.

Like I said last time I'm probably seeing them figured what the hell. Atlantic City was over 100 and that was GA, here I'm guaranteed upfront.

Fair play. Not a chance in hell of me doing this for Crue, but there are bands I would do this for if it were their last go around.

Don't think for a second his reasons for this are moral. He probably just doesn't want to be forced into a small room with Crue fanboys. And for that, I certainly don't blame him.

Like I said for one last go around it's not bad, I'm actually amazed I got seats this good for this venue(best I could get in Camden were 20th row). This venue is also great when you're in the first 10 rows or so. In the past I've probably paid close to this for other shows without the benefit of that merch voucher. Their stuff is cheaper online anyway. Also knowing the crowd that usually goes the area will probably be empty when Alice in on, so I'll have a great view.

He did it because he was getting pissed at people asking for pictures with him. I mean if Mick can do it every night there's no excuse for the other members.

Tommy's a big celebrity. He should expect and be glad and thankful that he's popular enough for people to ask for pictures with him and be afraid of they day they'll stop asking. But of course, you'll all have something to say to argue this as well as the insane greed of these bands. When you're a mega, super rich, multi-millionaire and tour more after you've done tons of touring already and call it a farewell tour just to help sell more tickets, that's greed at its absolute worst. This is a band who has so much money that they could play completely for free and have every ticket be free, pay all of their tour crew out of their own pockets and still have more money than they'll ever know what to do with.

4K for a meet and greet and all of Crue have to blowing me and giving me their kidneys after playing their entire music library for me private.

But seriously, 270 a ticket. for Kiss / Crue tour I paid around $200 for end seats like 4 rows from stage and that was $200 for TWO tickets.

It's 270 with free parking(which some places could be like 25) and each ticket having a 75 bucks merch voucher. It's better than some shows I've been to in the past. Especially at a venue like PNC Banks Arts Center where being in the first couple rows is great(product of a stage that was built in the 60's and to the 90's like most ampitheaters).

It is, even with the guitar I've seen packages that were cheaper, in 2010 I saw Shinedown on their acoustic tour and 2 tickets with a M&G and a Taylor guitar was 800

They do, but indirectly. They set their performance fee. That partially dictates the resultant ticket price dependent upon venue capacity etc.

I wonder if the $75 merch vouchers just means that the shirts for this tour will be $150? :bouville:

Actually yes, as raven heart pointed out the promoters (usually for big events like this it's aeg or livenation) pay the band a certain price then set tick prices. With large companies like that they know what they're doing, so the ticket prices would be around the same because they know at that price they can make the most money. And are you really going to blame a band for trying to get the most money out of each show?

Thanks Nikki, we're all shocked about that. We know it would kill you guys to throw in a couple of deep cuts that haven't been played in awhile. Then you might have to work a little harder, and rehearse a little more. We wouldn't want you guys to run out of energy, so goodbye, farewell, whatever just don't come back.

That's one thing I'm with you on, I want to see about 8-10 songs from Cooper and at least 17-20 songs from Crue.

And about the Sixx comment, he basically said what I said about the matter when I posted my ideal setlist for them for this tour. Besides he didn't say they wouldn't play any deep cuts, he just said they will be playing all the hits. Do you honestly think that realistically they would actually do a set with only a couple of hits for their LAST tour? If there's no Kickstart My Heart, Home Sweet Home, Dr. Feelgood, or Girls Girls Girls expect a angry crowd. To be honest as long as they play Shout At The Devil, Looks That Kill, Too Young To Fall In Love, Red Hot, and Live Wire I really don't care what they play.

Indeed. The two times I've seen Crue they played 90 minutes as a festival headliner, and 75 minutes at their own show.

The headline show was kind of fair enough because Tommy had dislocated his shoulder (again) about two nights previous, so they'd been rehearsing like crazy with Will Hunt. We were lucky to get a show, to be honest.

No one here is ignorant enough to think they should only play a couple of hits. The bulk of their success was spawned from their Mtv/radio hits, so of course they will be there. They could drop Smokin' and Same Ol' Situation and play something different but that would require giving a shit. They have so many hits some of the lame ones like I mentioned could be dropped. And Nikki's idea of "deep cuts" is ridiculous. They'll probably throw in Louder Than Hell and Primal Scream again, and act like they're really doing something special.

I really want to hear Hell on High Heels live, but no way they'll do it since it wasn't an original 4 song. Same goes for half of the S/T album. Realistic deep cuts are Bastard, Ten Seconds to Love, City Boy Blues and She Goes Down.
