Friday:

OutKast
Title Fight

Saturday:

Muse (I still would like to see them at least once)
QOTSA

Sunday:

Neutral Milk Hotel
Motorhead

The thing about all this is that I don't see a similar band to Motorhead on Sunday that would be an opening band for their tour, so hopefully it's not just a one-off.

I just noticed how fucking stupid it is that the lower billed bands are almost impossible to read and there's a ton of space left over on the flyer.

If there's any chance of a Fishbone/Motörhead tour my head would explode

Hmmm so...

Outkast
QOTSA
Motörhead
Fishbone (even though I couldn't find it on flyer)
Nas

Not much goin on here. Outkast would be great but seeing they haven't wanted anything to do w/ each other for years, this feels like a straight up cash grab.

Day 1:
Outkast
The Replacements
A$AP Ferg
The Bots

Day 2:
Queens of the Trust fund
Fatboy Slim
Nas

Day 3:
Beck
Motorhead
Chance The Rapper
Fishbone
Bad Manners

1. LULZ @ Motorhead
2. Anti-Flag? Really? They're the only band I grew up listening to that i fucking despise now.
3.The Gabba Gabba Heys are a Ramones cover band. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? Just get Marky Ramone. All he does is Ramones songs anyways with someone cool singing like Michale Graves or Andrew WK. Or just CJ Ramone(which makes more sense)
4. I had no idea Outkast were dead.
5. The toy Dolls are the most annoying punk band ever and ive hated them since i got into punk.
6. I REALLY WANT AN OUTKAST/MOTORHEAD TOUR. I swear id start a wall of death to Bombs Over Baghdad.
7.I hope someone overdoses during Bomber
8. Im so glad I saw A$AP Ferg before he got this big.
9. Above the bands i mentioned that id see.Id only really spend money to see Motorhead(maybe Ferg again). Nas and Outkast if its cheap

That's what I heard as well. Honestly this fest isn't too bad. Besides Outkast and Motorhead (who I've already seen), I'd like to see Muse, Trap Lord Ferg, Chance the Rapper, Nas, Kid Cudi, Title Fight, Sleight Bells, AFI and Pharrell.

Weird. I can understand having the same line-up play in different places (e.g. Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park, Soundwave, Hurricane/Southside), but in the same place just a week later? Seems pointless.

That is weird. I know the ticket demand is high as it sells out every year, but didn't know they could pull that off. I had no idea they did that until today.

I guess if you're that popular, it's a good way to double your ticket sales. If festivals like Hellfest and Wacken did this, I'm sure people would go twice so they could see the bands the second time they had to miss the first time because of clashes.

Or a fest like Roadburn, which sells out every year, it would give people a chance to see it.

“In an effort to try and accommodate everyone who wants to experience the festival, Coachella 2012 will be two separate events, held over two consecutive weekends,” the announcement said. “We will attempt to produce two identical festival weekends. That means same lineup, same art, same place, different people.”

For sure. But even so, there was a disconnect between Big Boi and Andre's reactions. Big Boi at least feigned some interest. Ah well, it'll be interesting to see what happens next week. I commend them for not just doing a greatest hits setlist, even if it didn't get the reaction it should have.

Seriously though, watching this just pained me....

True. It's probably me being naive, but I wouldn't think he would actually agree to do the reunion unless he WANTED to do it. I know it's the band's 20th anniversary which probably means that reissues are on the way, but Andre never struck me as someone who would reunite for the money.

mankvill
04-12-2014, 01:44 PM
I don't know if he wasn't feeling it because it was Outkast, but I remember him being outspoken about being sick of performing Hey Ya when it first came out. It might still just be that song, or it might be that 95% of the crowd at Coachella only know 4 radio hit songs from Outkast and that's it.

Bro that vid says it all. He clearly gives no shits, ya he sounds good but he looks like ya I dont give fuck right now. If he did it to play the music then why do fests like Coachella when the real fans wont be there. Do a a legit tour, not a festival run where peeps who attend dont know anything bout the music all they care about is the drugs and the vibe.

EDIT: Seems more of Andre being disappointed with the crowd than anything. Still Coachella aint the place to get a standing ovation for being legends
