They've yet to do a proper headline run in support of TDPDH in the States.

That's because if you look at their setlists, it's obvious the band isn't aware the new album has been released yet.

Meh. They usually play at at least three songs from it per night. I'm fine with that.

I'm pretty sure I'm in the majority when I say I listened to it and don't really like more than a couple songs.

They should play nothing but the Sap and Jar of Flies EPs in their entireties.

...I'd actually dig that even though that's only like 50 minutes of music.

They really shouldn't do more than 3 or 4 off it.

You need to give that new cd a few more spins Dude. If you think Blackmail the Universe is a good song and Voices or Phantom Limb isn't, it might be time to get your ears checked.

I love the new album but Voices is one of my least favorites on it. Phantom Limb fuckin owns though.

Yep. Voices sounds like melodic FM rock crap but Phantom Limb is killer.

Yup, Voices is the worst song on it by far. Your Decision was much, much better. (Both the fourth song on the album and kinda similar)

I like Phantom Limb and a couple others but the album as a whole is pretty weak because the tempo and tone don't really move too much throughout the album.
I'm not even gonna bother defending Blackmail the Universe, I love it but you've made your mind

Yeah Voices is commercial but still well written and a great song to me. Phantom Limb is one of the 5 best songs of 2013 so when people on here were like how is AIC in the Top cd's list I had to laugh. Brooootal Crew in effect!

Just curious aren't the 2 main riffs in BTU both from other songs? When I listened to the song again I was like this sounds like X and this riff is totally from Y. Maybe all the mid-tempo Megadeth is one big blur to me. It's so f'n boring and repetative. hahaha

One of my online friends said Alice In Chains will be playing The Moody Theater in Austin, Texas on April 28. Didn't see that date posted in here so I thought I would.

I know only two of the four dates are officially announced but I wish bands would just release all the dates at once rather then a few here and there at first.

I understand why bands do that though. Once the date is confirmed there's no reason for them to keep it quiet. Get it out there as soon as you can since it may help with ticket sales. A lot of people get facebook/e-mail updates when bands are coming to their area. That has a lot to do with why you see random dates pop up more now instead of the whole tour itinerary. It annoys me a bit to, but with the internet it's hard to keep a lid on things like that for too long. Especially with a more well known band like AIC.

The other reason is they know people pick and choose which dates to go to if they have more than one option. Doing this artificially inflates the sales for certain shows if people don't know whether they'll have other options and don't want to miss out.

They do the same across Europe.

Right? They only sold out the Tabernacle two times in a row in 2010. But they rather play some tiny place in Mississippi that I've never even heard of.

I've yet to go to this casino, but they're in deep shit and basically begging people to come and gamble. Their other "rock" shows coming up are the Gypsy Kings and Live with a different singer.
