Let's hope it's more 2011 and 2013 and less 2012

Since their little artwork has to do with the headliner now, and since it's obviously a viking theme but Amon Amarth is aleady doing a headlining tour, my guess is either Ensiferum or Wintersun.

I hope the lineup is horrible then. I'm tired of Worcester ruining good metal tours with NEMF and Rock and Shock.

Fuck yes I would be thrilled with either of those. Two bands I've been wanting to see again soon for quite a while.

Also, back in October the The Metal Alliance Tour twitter account said: "MA 4 is going to be so nuts we might do TWO tours. Who do you think is on? #metalalliancetour #metalalliance". That could be uhhh... pretty cool I guess.

detuned

if the lineup is what i suspect it is, the artwork has nothing to do with it. though the last time i cast doubt on artwork significance...

safe to assume the indian headdress artwork relates to the headliner, as last years artwork was a devil driving a dunebuggy, and the year before was a retarded kid in a helmet /SARCASM
should have known questioning the assumption about the artwork would ensure it would actually be anthrax

But they didn't play The Hunter.

But as far as Mastodon goes, unless you're a huge Mastodon fan going in, or highly susceptible to becoming a huge Mastodon fan, they're probably not going to do much for you live. Or if you're the kind of guy that requires crowd interaction or GETTING IN THE MOSH PIT BRO, Mastodon in the live setting won't be for you.

Last MA tour sold out HOB which holds 1200 or so.

Last times those 3 bands were here :

Behemoth sold out like a 700 person venue.
Mesuggah played HOB
Mastodon played like a 4000 person venue

I think it had more to do with their setlist.

Either way, I could totally see them playing this tour. That being said, I have a feeling this tour could follow a certain "theme" of metal like last year.

I don't know about anybody else here, but Metal Alliance this past year was at the same place that Mastodon typically headlines whenever they are in town (Fillmore Detroit, ~2200 cap).

Not here. Mastodon played a larger venue last time they came through SF than the one the Metal Alliance tour came through.

I think Suicide Silence are rumored to be doing a comeback tour in the spring too, so maybe they are on that, and they can lump all of the deathcore on that tour.

Plus it seems like Metal Alliance tries to theme the lineup around a certain style of metal each year, and if Behemoth is headlining, Carnifex would kind of go against that theme.

If this info is indeed accurate, well first of all the MN and Canada dates do not have the same venue called Skyway Theatre, that's only MN, and it says Studio B, which holds a few hundred people at most. If it's at the ACTUAL Skyway Theatre, then Arch Enemy will be on this, otherwise Behemoth will headline this at smaller venues.

A few years back Angela refused to appear in Revolver's Hottest Chicks issue and it got ugly in the press for a second. Since then there has been little to no AE activity in the states. Coincidence? Revolver sponsors Mayhem Fest and a few other tours and may have had AE blacklisted by the tours they sponsor/are affiliated with.

The Metal Alliance Tour is back for their fourth ferocious year of wrecking heads. Festival organizers Dan Rozenblum and Steve Seabury of High River Entertainment are proud to welcome to American soil the mighty Behemoth as their 2014 headliner. This will be the first time in over a decade that Behemoth will tour North America in support of their new record The Satanist released on April 2nd through Metal Blade Records. The tour will be rounded out by New Orleans natives Goatwhore, 1349, Inquisition and the buzz worthy unsigned act Black Crown Initiate.

"This tour is no exception for our love of all things heavy." states Rozenblum. "This tour is for metal fans by metal fans." adds Seabury. "this bill explores our appreciation for the dark and black side of metal. Behemoth have been a favorite of ours and we are stoked to have them headline the fourth edition of the Metal Alliance Tour!"

The Metal Alliance Tour will make the trek across United States and Canada starting in April and running through the start of May. "We are immensely proud to be headlining the Metal Alliance Tour," comments Nergal. "It's a privilege and we're going to make sure that this tour and "The Satanist" that Behemoth is making an ultimate statement! It has been a long trek from when we landed in US for the first time in 2003. It took us a decade to get to this place we are now. We are coming back, more determined and hungrier than ever, ready to reclaim the throne!"

50 VIP tickets in each market are available at 10 AM EST at this link. Each ticket holder will get a 30 minute meet & greet with all of the bands, a bottle of High River Sauces, a limited edition 11x17 poster, Metal Alliance 4 beer koozie and a VIP Laminate. General Admission tickets will be available at a later date.

The big bands here are 1349 and Inquisition.

And maybe that's my other problem, I've never listened to Inquisition. 1349 isn't in NA a ton so yea I guess I see that being a draw.

I like Behemoth but they wouldn't excite me a ton as the headliner. But that's just my preference. I know a lot of people love them and this will still be successful.

Dumb question but is Soundrink legit for buying tickets? The venue isn't actually selling them until Friday, but they already have them onsale there.

Yes, I bought my All Star Tour tickets from them twice.

I may just wait until my venue has them onsale Friday so I can just print it. I doubt this will even sell out.

We’re giving away tickets for shows in LA, Dallas, Houston, Philly, Chicago, and New York City. For a chance to win, tweet at us at @invisoranges with the phrase ‘Metal Alliance’ and the city in which you want to see the tour, or leave us a message in the Comments section specifying which show you’d like to see. Winners will be picked at random.

YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! !!!

:rocker:

The dude from JFAC did a great job filling in last time, but nothing beat actually seeing Frost on the Triptykon tour. Luckily this is at a venue with an elevated bar, so I'll have to get there early and get a nice place so I can watch him in all his glory

I missed Inquisition last night due to bad traffic in Hollywood.

Also, I'm not sure Frost is playing, unless he cut his hair off. It's been years since I've seen Frost though, so I could be wrong. Either way, 1349 were fucking awesome last night!!

From a FB posting...

Frost isn't on the tour, but their tour drummer is awesome! I played with them in Tempe AZ and they were sick!

I found this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qFd9WUF9kM) video from last night's show. The drummer is pretty sick.
