A weird mixture of goodness (Nails, Blood Ceremony, Deafheaven)
utter shit (Five Finger Death Punch, HIM)
non-metal (Wardruna, Steven Wilson)

I don't entirely agree with their picks, but I'll give them points for diversity.

Yeah I think 7 or 8 of my Top 10 are in there somewhere. I agree some are head scracthers but it's a decent list for them. Needs more thrash more than anything.

I know Hatebreed came out very early in 2013 but I'm surprised they would like some of the commercial crap more than them. Not my favorite Hatebreed album but some great songs on there. Worlds better than Donkey Punch...

Top 10 is very solid, overall a pretty regular commercial list, but some curve balls in there.

I don't see much wrong with this list at all. Seems pretty well rounded.

Five Finger Death Punch over Nails (and a bunch of other good stuff)...GTFO!

I'm seriously surprised the new Asking Alexandria wasn't on that list. They used to have a pretty big boner for them.

I think no Revocation or Protest the Hero surprised me the most considering the source. No way there were 50 better cd's than those 2 this year...

I was wrong only 5 of my current Top 10 on here. Could change though

Really? Which one didn't you like? Or both?

Glad to see them showing some love for Autopsy. I thought The Headless Ritual was a monster of an album

I liked the new Revocation alright, but there was a ton of better albums. Protest the Hero on the other hand is not my thing at all.

It's funny I used to really like PTH then they became more prog with some intelligent lyrics and some horrible lyrics depending on the song. People on here went bonkers over their last cd which wasn't my thing mostly because of the lyrics and vocals so i get it.

The new one is more like the stuff I liked originally so to me it's their best cd yet. My point is if you didn't like the last one it doesn't mean you won't like this one. The song Tilting Against Windmills is one of the 5 best songs I heard in 2013 and Chris Adler on drums took this band to a whole new level.

I stand by my original statement. No fucking way on god's green earth are there 50 better cd's than those 2. hahaha Especially not Donkey Punch, HIM and some of that other dumb shit...

Monster Magnet and Avatarium are way too low, but at least they made the list.
