First south pole setlist here at MetalSetlists, I bet

1. Creeping Death
2. For Whom the Bell Tolls
3. Sad But True
4. Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
5. Master of Puppets
6. One
7. Blackened
8. Nothing Else Matters
9. Enter Sandman
10. Seek & Destroy

well....ok I figured it wouldn't be a headlining set but only 10 songs and they came all that way...

and no Trapped Under Ice? Fuck you Metallica you missed the perfect song in a perfect setting

Even without Trapped Under Ice it still would have been a once in a lifetime thing to see.

No amplification either...I guess they don't wanna cause a landslide. What a strange thing to do for a cookie cutter 10-song performance.

I can forgive trapped under ice if they take out Sad but True and Seek and Destroy. When did Metallica come to some kind of messed up understanding that Seek and Destroy is their anthem? What's the infatuation with sad but true?

This is the Dethklokest thing ever and it's awesome.

Aside from the obvious Trapped Under Ice, they totally should've played The Thing That Should Not Be, Call of Ktulu or All Nightmare Long to summon the dark lord.

I get the impression some people seem to forget that the song was a huge hit for them. It wasn't at the level of Sandman but it's certainly at the same level of popularity that Unforgiven and Wherever I May Roam are. It's probably in their top five most recognizable songs. As much as I don't like Nothing Else Matters, I know it was too big of a hit for them to leave it out of the set. That's the same reason Sad But True stays in the set. Though I think rotating it every other show with Roam wouldn't be a bad idea but then people would just bitch about Roam getting played too often.

I always liked the one with words:

I love the look on Trujillo's face - "Did I make the right decision in joining this band?" I know he makes more money than he would in any of his previous bands, but just the look on his face says that.

Or to quote Gob Bluth, "I've made a huge mistake."
