Not sure if it's going to be in the Winter or Spring yet, but a Destruction headliner tour with Krisiun, and changing support is being announced soon.

Wow. After the last tour being pretty disastrous, I'm amazed that they actually want to return.

Apparently they want a ridiculous amount of money, so I know nobody's booking it in St. Louis.

Didn't hear about that. How so?

They definitely said they weren't returning after last time.

Either way, this needs to hit Toronto. Destruction was the most surprising band I've ever seen, and remains a top 5 band that I've seen. It was just one of the heaviest, most brutal shows in existence.

If Destruction doesn't work out I'd go to a Krisiun / Hirax tour in a heartbeat.

Hope this works out. I was bummed knowing the last Destruction tour was the "last us tour". Plus im glad Hirax is gonna tour US .

I must be the only one who thinks that Destruction is one of the most boring live bands out there

I've seen them twice (once around 2005-2006 with vader, the other was the one that was supposed to be with D666, a couple years back I think), and neither time I was very impressed. Love them on CD, but live just didn't have the same energy.

Hirax would be cool though :rocker:

If I'm remembering it right, some of their crew or a road manager or something like that straight up bailed near the end, shows got cancelled, promoters didn't live up to agreements and Schmier broke a tooth getting nailed by a mic stand near the end. I remember it was quite a few things that went south.

Don't forget the shitty tour route they had. They came through so cal three separate times on that tour.

Right before I saw this I was wondering if their tour routes in the past have been good. That being said do they usually hit all the major cities?

Definitely not all of the major cities. I recall the last touring being something like:

Start in LA
Go Northeast until they hit Quebec City
Go Southwest until they hit LA again
Go North until they hit Seattle
Go South until they're back in LA again

Quebec City is further Northeast than Toronto :P

Whoops. I'm not entirely familiar with everything in Canada. Prior to this post, I thought Ontario was East of Quebec and now looking at a map, I've been wrong for a while. Thanks for clearing that up. Haha

Yeah, looks like Hirax and Suicidal Angels aren't on anymore, but Widow is. Also some band called Bastard, but I have no idea if that's a local band or any of the ten thousand bands named that or what.

Mirror Image is tiny as fuck. IDK why big bands are getting booked there. But it sounds fun. Still bummed Hirax dropped it.

I'll prolly go to the Worcester show. I like Destruction live and it would be great to see Krisun. I fully expect Black Mass, Lich King and Candy Striper Death Orgy to be added on. Maybe Scalpel and Untombed too.

Black Mass is on hiatus. Yianni left the band.

Surprised they even added a New England date at all considering they played Church of Boston last time, which is 1/2 the size of Palladium Upstairs.

Jesus, so many tours in April (not that I'm complaining)! I may have gone to the Montreal stop, but with Black Sabbth, Kataklysm/Aborted, Behemoth, Terror tours going on that month, I'll have to skip this one. Can logically only choose 2 of those.

they wouldn't fill the beaumont. Someone needs to buy the Beaumont and chop it in half with a retractable wall separating the two sides that they can roll back for big shows.

When venues go up for sale the most likely outcome is property developers buy it in order to knock it down and commence profiteering.

So to the people who have seen them live, how good are they? I really want to see them, and tempted to drive 6 hours to see them in St. Louis because no telling when the next time they will be back.

I've seen them twice, once back in 2006 or so, and then in 2012 (I think....), so boring, IMO.

Destruction is easily one of the best bands I've ever seen. It might be because I'm a huge thrash fan, but I loved their performance when I saw them. It was unbelievably heavy, and the setlist was pretty much perfect. I've been waiting for them to come back ever since.

The only bands that I've seen that are better live are ones that I consider to be untouchable: Slayer, Iron Maiden, and Avantasia.

Definitely looking forward to getting exceedingly inebriated and thrashing my balls off at this one
