According to announcement released today, Black Label Society have amicably parted ways with longtime guitarist Nick Catanese.

The band, who "wish him the very best in his future musical endeavors," added that a replacement will be officially announced soon.

Zakk Wylde and the rest of the band have been holed up in Wylde's personal recording studio the past few months hammering out their much-anticipated new full-length album, which is set for a spring 2014 release through EOne.

Bummer, great guy, fun watching him whip picks at people at Gigantour

Oh well. Kind of weird that he never wrote or recorded with the band, hopefully whoever replaces him gets involved with writing.

Oh no, what's the band gonna do now?

Oh wait, Zakk will just write everything like he always has.

Zakk allows other people to play guitar?

Have been saying for 8 years now that it's unfair Nick never gets to play on the albums. I guess he always stuck with it because it was his only paycheck, given that Speed X have always sucked.

I guess he finally got bored enough to leave.
