Well show over and honestly I don't think I've really heard Tom Araya sound better and I thought that the guy lost it a while back and his voice was shot. Good for him. Pay attention Megadeth with your loser 13 song setlist, Slayer destroys you in this and honestly always have, they consistently give you value for your buck. That said I know Tom was pissed for some reason. He didn't really chat too much in the second half of the set, he verbally lashed out at security towards the end which is fine and was deserved. But he barely said goodnight and did not seem in a good mood, what a shame. The "encore" was rushed and we weren't given the chance to chant Slayer over and over until SOH began, they sorta just started quick, I assume because of some curfew. I was in a seat in the back and from my view I have never ever seen a weaker pit on gods green earth. I couldn't believe it, I thought the crowd would completely destroy that place and tear it limb from limb ;) I almost thought Yellowcard was playing. People were on their best behavior which appalled me honestly. Sound was great albeit a little low, I could hear myself sing and so could everyone around me truthfully which probably bugged the hell out of them.

9/10 show in the end, Slayer really rocked and as much as I want to say keep going because you sound so good, please let it start dying down to go out gracefully, Jeff isn't here and he was such an integral member. Anyway, fun show, I'm just sorry it was the day before Thanksgiving, I'm gonna be hurting tomorrow.

One other note on merch. I see these Jeff Hanneman tribute shirts for sale and unless the proceeds go to his family or fund or some crap like that, my gut tells me that's sorta disgusting if they are profiting off of this. Anyone know anything further about it?

I asked about this at the Toronto show and got told its the same charity as the tribute shirt in their webstore.

The official tribute t-shirt for Jeff Hanneman. Still Reigning!

Proceeds from the sale of this shirt goes to MusiCares. MusiCares provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need. I blame the 14 year olds in the pit with the 40 year olds too weak to show them the way.

Not a word on Gojira?
At least it's cool that the rest of the country gets to hear them play Strike of the Beast. But Dave Lombardo only played it in the Bay ;)

Not sue what you guys were listening to I was right in front for half the show just walked into area no pass and got 2 people from front center weak pit for sure but back to the sound so LAME gary is turned down to where you can't hear anything from him on lead
then kerry starts his mick mars leads and its full blast same was in vegas why even have gary in the band if he will just be turned down

weak crown so-so muddy sound most of show band was tight Ill give them that but after seeing slayer 25 times since 86 this is my last one
