I was really floored by Aborted when I saw them, so I hope this comes around here!

I honestly thought the El Mocambo in Toronto had shut its doors years ago. Maybe someone else from Toronto can confirm but isn't it even smaller than the Wreckroom? So it would be cool to see a metal show there.

I also had thought it had closed sometime in 2006-2008, maybe it is under new owners.

It is a bit smaller than the Wreckroom (400 capacity versus the Wreckroom's 450) but it is two floors. Should still be a load of fun. I have yet to catch Aborted so I am looking forward to this.

I only ever went once to see Sons of OTIS and Shallow, North Dakota in 1999 and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I remember it being a nice place.

I haven't been to El Mocambo sicne 2006, and the only times i've been there it was for those shitty Supernova band wars things when I was in high school. I've never been to a "real" show there, so this should be awesome.

Also, 450 people for Wreckroom? I thought it was a lot smaller than that. I'm assuming that's if it's like packed to the max?

Their site (http://theannexwreckroom.com/specs/) lists it as 450+ capacity.

I think 450 would be uncomfortably packed in the Wreckroom, although there is that whole tabled section off to one side that is usually closed off during shows. Maybe that is a bit bigger? I have never been to it when its operating a nightclub so I can't say if there is a lot of space over there or not.

The last couple of times i've been there for metal shows, I did a rough head count, and I always get somewhere in the 100-200 range.

When do tickets go on sale for this?
