Damn. That sounds like an awesome show.

It was at the beginning and at the end

Rotten Apple

Yeah, while it was nice to see something rare, it meant no 'Nutshell', so net loss.

I can't say I've ever seen an AIC set I didn't like. Still yet to see Rotten Apple live though, so I'm jealous.

It's hard to dislike a set that is always built around the same 10 songs ;)

Great set, can't wait to see these guys tomorrow, hoping to hear Angry Chain.

Rotten Apple is fantastic live. Too bad they haven't added any other new songs yet though. Was hoping the title track would show up.

The last Walking Papers song was probably Climber.

The last Walking Papers song was probably Climber.

I figured it was either that or King Hooker.

Not familiar with their songs, but one of the lyrics was "She don't leave much to the imagination".

Edit: Which appears to make it Climber.

Also, Elizabeth in Ghost's set was a guess. Just worked out it was Year Zero.

Rotten Apple > Nutshell

Had to say it. Although I do like both.

Rotten Apple > Nutshell

Nutshell > all other Alice In Chains songs

Nutshell > all other Alice In Chains songs

Whale & Wasp, God Am & Angry Chair disagree.

Whale & Wasp, God Am & Angry Chair disagree.

Their sense of self-worth is irrelevant ;)

Wait, someone actually thinks Whale & Wasp is among the best AIC songs? It's a decent little instrumental but it really doesn't have anything that would rank it among the best AIC songs. I always saw it as an intro to the much better Don't Follow.

Since they're supposedly touring in support of their new album, it would be nice to see Phantom Limb and Breath On A Window become regulars in the set.

Phantom Limb was a regular in the set on the leg before this one.

Also, Voices was originally on the London setlist, but was replaced at the last minute with It Ain't Like That.

The cover of Suffergate City is clearly their best song

I second that!

Yeah I didn't think I'd say this but they really need to pull more songs from Devil Put Dinosaurs Here. The title track is way too good to be ignored.

Hollow and Stone are the only regulars off the new album live.

Seems like whenever I want a band to play new material live they don't and vice versa...

Hollow and Stone are the only regulars off the new album live.

Phantom Limb and Voices will end up being regulars. They played both at the one-off Vegas show a couple of weeks ago, and Voices was in the London set but was dropped.

They seem to be changing things a little fairly regular. On the South American leg all of these featured at least once each, as well as everything played last night: Love Hate Love, Junkhead, Sludge Factory, God Am, Phantom Limb, Grind, Acid Bubble, Voices.

Voices is a single and while I'm not too fond of it I'm surprised it is not being played more often. Phantom Limb destroys live and deserves to be played every night. The two times I've seen it it's been a highlight of the set.

I wonder what AIC fans thought of Ghost.

Rotten Apple > Opeth

And yes, I would have loved to hear Phantom Limb, it's so frustrating when a band actually comes out with new material you like and they don't play enough live. I only really like that song and the other two singles in this case though...

Seemed fairly receptive. I saw A LOT of Ghost shirts there.

Personally I think this is an awesome three band bill. Ghost is out of place but whatever.

Setlist from today was:
Again
Check My Brain
Them Bones
Hollow
Your Decision
Would?
Phantom Limb
Grind
Got Me Wrong
We Die Young
Stone
Acid Bubble
Nutshell
Down in a Hole

Angry Chair
Man in the Box

And there you go. All the rehearsed songs missing from London in the next night in Leeds.

Seems to be what they're doing this tour, changing a few songs every night.
