Ok so i dont do reviews that much so hopefully this will be ok!!!

Arrived to the arena about 15 minutes before the first band came on went straight to the pit section and waited for the show to start. The first band was a group called We As Human. I have never heard of them before but they were not that bad. The only thing if I felt bad because there were like maybe 500 people only there in the outside arena so they were playing in front of like no one compared to what the other bands were gonna play in front of. The band is produced by Skillets singer John Cooper. They were not bad at all.

We As Human:

Sever
Dead Man
Zombie (with John Cooper)
I Stand
Strike Back

Next was In This Moment and I was excited to see them again. It was my fourth or fifth time seeing them and it was amazing. Two dancers came out with masks on in a sexy slow crawl that got the crowd going. Out comes Maria and the crowd goes mental. They played basically only songs of there last cd but it was all radio hits but still amazing songs. They played about 25 minutes but still was outstanding. Maria has some new outfits and dancing with her sexy little counterparts was cool to see.

In This Moment:

Rise with Me
Adrenalize
Blazin'
Whore :rocker:
Burn
Blood :rocker:

Next was Papa Roach. We thought Skillet was gonna be next but I guess they are rotating co headlining slots cause my friend went to the show on the 20th and she said skillet came out before papa roach. This was my third time seeing Papa Roach and first time outside which was really cool and in the day light which was even weirder cause usually you see bands like this at night or in a dark arena. They played all the hits except dead cell which made me sad. They still kicked ass got the crowd moving big time.

Papa Roach:

Still Swingin'
Blood Brothers
Give Me Back My Life
Between Angels and Insects :rocker:
Where Did the Angels Go?
Burn
Forever
Leader of the Broken Hearts
Scars
...To Be Loved :rocker:
Getting Away with Murder
Last Resort

Next was the band I was most excited to see SKILLET!!!!!!!!!! I dont care what you guys say I think they are an amazing talented band. They got the crowd jumping and moving the entire set and never stopped. They even had elevators they went up 20 feet and they were playing on them. They were just amazing and didnt preach about god or anything until the end when John said his ultimate hero was God. Overall they were amazing and there stage show is excellent. Overall best set of the night.

Skillet:

Hero
Whispers in the Dark :rocker::rocker:
Sick of It
Comatose :rocker:
Rise
Awake and Alive :rocker:
The Last Night
Not Gonna Die
Circus for a Psycho
Monster :rocker:
Rebirthing

Last band was Shinedown and let me tell you try and get as close as you can for this band. I was second row for shinedown and it made the set even better then the last time i saw them. Lots and lots and lots of fire. The singer really gets into in jumping around and looking pissed off singing which was awesome. He got the crowd moving and just overall was an amazing set. The carnival of madness crew came out during a couple songs twirling fire and dancing which was cool also. Overall it was an amazing show and I recommend anyone that could go to this to go to the show.

Shinedown:

I'm Not Alright
Enemies
Devour
Unity
The Crow & The Butterfly
Adrenaline
I'll Follow You
Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom) :rocker::rocker:
If You Only Knew :rocker:
Amaryllis
45 :rocker:

Encore:
Sound of Madness
Second Chance
Simple Man (Lynyrd Skynyrd cover)
Bully :rocker:

Nice review, thanks for posting! I added the setlists of We As Human, In This Moment, and Papa Roach to setlist.fm based on your review, since nobody had uploaded them yet. So thanks for your help there!

I was at First Midwest Bank Amphitheater the night before Carnival Of Madness for Uproar Festival. Here's my review of that for those who may not have gotten a chance to read it and want to-
http://www.metalsetlists.com/showthread.php?t=23772

I was debating on going to this one, but I chose Uproar instead since there were more bands I never had gotten a chance to see live there. I've seen Papa Roach twice, once in the summer of 2010 and just this past January co-headlining with Stone Sour. They always kick ass, as does Shinedown who I saw at the beginning of the Amaryllis touring cycle in April 2012.

They need to drop Diamond Eyes and Bully, the 2 dumbest songs they've ever written.

If they should drop any song, it should be I'll Follow You. GAWD, that song is a fucking borefest.

If any song should be dropped, in my opinion I think it should be Simple Man. It's not a bad song, it's a decent cover, but takes up a good 5-6 minutes when they could be playing another great Shinedown original like Heroes, I Dare You, or Breaking Inside.

When I saw Shinedown in April 2012, they closed with that. They also played Nowhere Kids when I saw them, which is probably my favorite song off Amaryllis.

That Shinedown set is awful. They have totally stopped caring about those first 2 records.

Not a good Shinedown set, and that Encore is awful. Playing Bully I can understand but closing with it is lame.

And opening with I'm Not Alright?

That's because most of the people seeing them don't own them

I don't like this tour either but I wanted to ask a couple of questions. Who would you support and pay to see? When was the last time you bought a ticket and went to a show? It seems like you always talk about who you won't support so I was wondering.

The bands in Bobbie's signature should give you an idea.

Yeah, not my kind of music, with the exception of Nine Inch Nails who I'm a big fan of and absolutely hope to see live someday.

nice, the Carnival of Sellouts. this has a good ring to it. too bad Shinedown doesn't play any of their good songs anymore. was looking at a setlist of a show i went to when they were opening for Zombie/Godsmack: crying out, fly, better version, simple man, begin again, heroes, 45, left out, save me.

any idea about the set times for each band on this tour? kinda concerned about the skillet/papa roach timing (really hope skillet is prior to papa roach).

Yeah I would do anything to see them play that setlist, and throw in a few songs from Sound of Madness.

I saw Shinedown open for KISS a few weeks ago and they were actually better than I was expecting.

papa roach and skillet switch co headling slots every show and they play about 50 minutes each.

Yeah, see below. I go to a ton of shows. And I have no problem with package arena tours with mainstream music. Love Sevendust, Chevelle, older Linkin Park, Incubus. I'm seeing NIN a few times soon, Pearl Jam too. But this tour is just utter garbage.

Honestly I'm more ok w/ seeing what was on his signature line than ever seeing this. I hate Shinedown as much as I hate U2.

I'd kill to see Ice Cube & Public Enemy.

And c'mon Eyehategod as well!!!

Looking at the shows in your signature, I see EyeHateGod. I don't know anything about their music but didn't their drummer just die? Is your show still even going to happen?

So jealous you're seeing Nine Inch Nails. I really want to see them live. They were in Chicago for Lollapalooza, but it sold out before the whole lineup was even released. But, if they come to Wisconsin or come back to Chicago, I'll be there! Still would love to see Linkin Park and Chevelle live also.

Cool, you probably go to more shows than me. I was surprised you like Chevelle. I really like their albums, just boring live. Sorry if I offended anyone.

i dont think you offended anyone, certainly not me. Chevelle is the epitome of what i look for in a mainstream band. They've found a way to keep their integrity and their sound all these years.
