Was a fun show. Andrew WK opened but he only was a DJ, mainly playing classic metal songs. The band sounded great, but ozzy was off some with his voice. I thought the crowd was boring but I guess it was just an older crowd

Ill mention: I believe andrew started at 730. he stopped at 815 for sure. Sabbath was 830-1030

Under the Sun

YUSSSSSSSSSS. I was afraid they were gonna drop it in the states in favor of something a bit more popular. I hope they keep it in for the whole tour.

Kinda weird they do Methademic live when it's "only" a bonus track.

I assume it was Clufestos on drums?

Even though I'm not getting this, it would be awesome if they did Damaged Soul. Absolutely love that song.

Yeah, everyone seems to love Damaged Soul so I don't get why that's not getting played. Replace Methademic with it since I don't see much sense in playing a new bonus track live when you're only playing four new tunes to begin with. Especially when you're other options are songs like Damaged Soul and Dear Father which are much better choices.

I'm happy that Age Of Reason made it in. At least that means they may be aware of what the best song on the album is.

Really nice set. I for one really dig Methademic, I think it's better than most of the main album tracks. Stoked for this show, I really hope they don't start dropping songs as the tour progresses.

Can someone post what time Sabbath actually went on?

Austin says 7:30, but I am sure that is when W.K starts DJing right?

THANKS in advance!:rocker:

On another forum I think someone said they went on at 8:40 and off at 10:40.

Hmm, that's an interesting opener situation. I kind of like the sounds of that. Also that Sabbath set is killer, I hope it stays mostly that for the tour. I think "Metahdemic" is one of the stronger songs off the new album (regardless of version) and I hope it stays in. It's slightly more up-tempo, which is nice too. "Age of Reason" is by far the coolest addition though :rocker:

I was wrong, didn't think they would play that many new songs.

Agreed, good set overall.

Solid set for sure. I was hoping Age of Reason or Damaged Soul were going to make it. I'm worried, however, that by the time they reach Tinley Park they'll cut the set by 3-4 songs.

So its obvious Ozzy can't sing alot of the high stuff anymore and their digging into the catalog to see what he can still sing.....where's Hand of Doom?

Ozzy sounded horrible during some videos I watched of this show. Really hoping he steps up by the time they hit the west coast, but given his track record on the last solo tour (strong voice and long setlists at the start of the tour, 90 minute show and no voice by the middle), I'm not expecting much.
