This would be killer. I would love to see an Orange Goblin headlining show. I got to see them open for Clutch, great show. Orange Goblin are criminally underrated...

Orange Goblin ruled when I saw them open for Clutch earlier this year. May have to go.

Not surprised with no New England this time. I'm pretty sure all 3 of these bands were here within the past few months.

They've played the Riot Room at least twice and a few months ago they were at Frank's North Star Tavern in Lawrence. They've also opened at least two shows in Lawrence!

I've heard a little bit of Orange Goblin and have liked what I've heard. If I wanted to get into them more, where should I start?

I'd go with one of their last two albums Healing Through Fire or A Eulogy for the Damned. A Eulogy has probably more of an accessible sound if that's what you're looking for though.

EDIT: Red Tide Rising (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHxiouKy8Ho)
The Filthy & the Few (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-Qc2M5mh5A)
Acid Trial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWt-FfN1uwM)

Yeah man Eulogy for the Damned is a killer record. I'd go back and check out their first 2 albums also - Frequencies From Planet Ten and definitely check out Time Traveling Blues. I've been listening to that album the most.

They have that box set of their first 6 albums for pretty cheap if you're looking to get into them.

I want that, but it's nowhere approaching cheap here. Which is irritating, seeing as it's a British band on a British label.

That said, I only need two of the albums anyway ;)

I mean, I guess I could give them another shot. I know a lot of people worship this band, but I've only seen them open shows so maybe their headlining sets are baller.

(wish it was White Wizzard though lel)

It's not that I don't like them. They're just nothing special for me.

I'm the same way. I saw them headline in July though and they were much better than I remember them being all the times I saw them open. Still nothing special though.

White Wizzard would be much better.
