A Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage, Testament US fall tour is in the works. Look for an official announcement soon. It will run in Oct/Nov.

Testament are a little too low on the bill for my liking. I was hoping they would do one more headlining run before the year is over. They haven't been here in St. Louis since 2009... I'm not the biggest Lamb of God fan but i wouldn't mind a LOG/Testament co-headline tour. I could do without KSE.

Fuck this gay earth

also lollin pretty hard that the source of this is yourself

There's another tour rumor, it's Amon Amarth with Revocation, Misery Index and Vektor. Source is myself.

Testament, despite their seniority, is nowhere near as popular as Killswitch so this billing order is not even slightly surprising.

Who from where?

The poster Detuned is a ghostwriter (aka posting news stories under the 'Wookubus' name) to PRP.com webmaster Wookubus. He denies it. Too bad he forgot a few years ago when he was known as Tom on the PRP forums that he gave me his twitter account along with admitting he was a ghostwriter for that site on their now defunct forums. He came here and posted exclusive news stories with prp.com as the source all the while playing off like he doesn't have a thing to do with that site. Hence me posting the photo of his twitter account above where he tweets about being a Wookubus's ghost writer. It's funny for him to deny something like that lol. ThePRP is actually a good site for the news they cover, although much of the music they cover I am not a fan of. After coming here and acting like a jerk to a few of the regular posters (they can reveal their identity if they wish), a few others, along with myself, would take a few jabs at thePRP and like clockwork he would fire back at us over that or something else in various threads on this site. And about every other 'source' of his is from thePRP. Nothing wrong with that but don't act like you aren't affiliated with it when you are and especially after you leave proof of it for the world to see on your twitter account. People may not like me or care for what I post, but at least they know it's me and not some fake acting poster here only to get hits for their site. This is why I rarely post and leave a source for myself but it's funny that the one time I've done it in a long while I get called out for it when someone else has been doing it in a deceivingly fake and misleading manner.

Getting here after all the fun has already happened, but why are people suprised/bitching about KSE being billed over Testament? Most that post here seem to be fairly knowledgable about music. We all know that $ talks. KSE sells more records, sells more tickets, of course they're going to be billed over Testament.

Absolutely.

It's the same here, KsE sold out a 5,000 capacity venue in London this year, while Testament either sell out 800, or play a 2000 but don't sell it out.

This bill would be exactly the same everywhere.

One thing I don't like about House of Blues is being restricted to whatever floor you bought a ticket for. Last show I went to there I bought a balcony ticket (without it being specified when I made the purchase) and had to stay up there the whole time.

Yeah what the fuck? I bitch about this all the time. They haven't played STL since May of '09. Is there something going on behind the scenes on why they never come back? All the legs with Anthrax and then the tour with Overkill and still nothing... I'm kind of glad that this tour isn't coming. I don't want to see a 40 minute set from Testament. This isn't quite right. You either get a GA ticket or a seat ticket (which is the top balcony). If you have a GA ticket they let you roam anywhere except the seats up top.....

... unless this JUST changed? I've seen about 10 shows there, all GA, and I've never been stopped from going to the middle balcony.

- It's in a not great location in terms of transportation. Getting there is a huge pain in the ass as it's basically in the middle of nowhere near Polson Pier.

- It's narrow as fuck inside, so when they fill the place it's almost impossible to move around.

- The sightlines are terrible. If you're not at the front getting squished to shit or not at least 6 foot 5, you can't see anything.

- Did I mention it's in the middle of goddamn nowhere and hard to get to?

Seriously, that venue sucks, yet because it's one of the few (if not the only) mid-sized venues in Toronto a lot of mid-sized metal bands book their shows there. I keep telling myself after every show I go to there that it'll be the last show I attend at Sound Academy, but then I get suckered in when a band I haven't seen yet or in a long time plays there and i'm like "...Fuck"

But seriously, never again.

Just to add to this, there's basically only one place to park and it's $20, making the concert much more expensive.

I honestly haven't had too many shows I've wanted to go to there. Steel Panther is the only time I've been.

All of this.

I thought the reason the place was hard to find was because i'm not from the Toronto area. It's just in the middle of nowhere right on the water, crappy parking and a pain just to find. The venue is cut off from the main city and is way off the path. My friend and I have been there twice to see Nightwish. The main reason we went both times is because we're both big fans of theirs and Toronto is as close as they get to us when they tour. The view of the stage is terrible if you're not at least in the front half of the crowd. It's hard to believe they jam in 3,000-4,000 people in there for shows that sell well because of how narrow the place is. Both shows I've seen there were great but overall the venue's not that good.

All of this is true. I normally park at the Asian grocery store on Cherry street and walk 5 minutes - not perfect but better than spending $20.

Site lines are my biggest issue with the venue, as others have said unless you are in the first 10 or so rows, don't expect to see much.

That sucks. The Congress is such a cool old theater.

If they kept the place up it'd be nice but right now it's a huge shit hole run by horrible people.

You are in luck then as this is at the Kool Haus (formerly the Warehouse) which is a much better venue than Sound Academy.

Unless you are getting 90 minutes from all 3 of those then yes still way to much for this lineup. Gotta pay those legal bills somehow.

I agree it is alot. But I guess if you figure you pay roughly $30-40 for each headliner at Metropolis regularly, I guess its not that bad for 3 would be headliners. Testament will probly get 45 mins, KSE 1 hr and LoG will close with 1.25-1.5 hrs. Still a fun night o metal in my books! Cant go wrong with Metropolis either! Fantastic venue!

Yes, then it would be worth it. Shows are always more expensive in MTL, but damn. $58 itself isn't much, but factor in gas, parking $, beers/food, possibly hotel, adds up.

Ya u have to factor that in unfort comingfrom the US. I only have to drive 1.5 hrs from ottawa so it aint that bad for me. :) There and back in the night! Done it so many times, I can do it barely blindfolded.

I even walked a friend thru the city once via phone. He was lost driving in, he called me up on the highway, I told him where and how to go like I lived there! Then he called me at 2am trying to get out of the city LOL I shoulda sent him on a goose chase ;)

Why aren't there more shows at the Kool Haus anymore? I was there a million times in the late 1990's and I've been there three times since, the last time was four years ago.

Exactly, and the general concensious is the Sound Academy is terrible. I have a lot of good memories of the Kool Haus (the Warehouse/Guvernment). It was the only place I ever saw Type O Negative, Mr. Bungle, Slayer and Primus.

The Toronto show was about $44 after charges or something, and since it's with ticketfly you actually save a couple of dollars if go for the online printout instead of a hard ticket being mailed to you. I don't think Ticketmaster gives you a discount on that. So some of insane Montreal price could just be the venue they're playing. What's the face value of Montreal tickets before the service charges?

Could be for a number of reasons really, but i'm guessing it could be because Kool Haus, being a dance club a lot of times, just not wanting to book concerts maybe? Or maybe they're asking for a shit load more money from the bands/promoters these days. I don't know...

I would love an off-date but i doubt it. I'm glad i saw 'em when i did...

In a way yes, but I've always hated the production. It always stood out as an anomaly to me because Devin Townsend's work is usually stellar.
