Mt. Carmel
Exit/In @ Nashville, TN

Mt. Carmel kicked things off with a southern rock sounding set that was reminiscent of 70's rock. Their guitar player/vocalist is very good at both. They have a strong blues influence.

Honky was next and sounded like No More Tears era Zakk Wylde meets ZZ Top. Technical difficulties with the guitar right into the first song delayed their set leaving their bassist to do a bit of stand up comedy. Before long Honky kicked off their blistering set. Great band!!! They have an iTunes page with audio samples if you want to check them out. Here are a few song titles I remembered from the Honky setlist:

I Love To Smoke Your Weed
Snortin' Whiskey (Pat Travers cover)
I Love You Honey, Please Don't Shoot

Up next was Down. Philip was having throat problems and kept spraying something after every song. Due to his issues Witchtripper & Temptation Wings were on the setlist but not played. If the vocalist has throat issues a shortened setlist is understandable. The band sounded great as usual and were very energetic onstage. Here is Down's setlist from what I remember, not sure of the order on some of the middle songs:

Hail the Leaf
Lysergic Funeral Procession
Ghosts Along The Mississippi
Pillars Of Eternity
Losing All
Underneath Everything
New Orleans Is A Dying Whore
Eyes Of The South

Stone The Crow
Bury Me In Smoke
