The 1st band I saw was a local band called Quick Ritual. They were OK.

Chimaira headlined. The first time I ever saw them headline was at the I-Rock circa 2001 on their PASS OUT OF EXISTENCE headlining tour w/ God Forbid, 36 Crazyfists, Hotwire, and Time Is The Enemy. I also saw them play at the I-Rock on the day that THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF REASON was released w/ Lamb of God, Atreyu, and Eighteen Visions. Unfortunately, though, this show had probably less than 50 people. Their appeal is becoming more selective, as they say in Spinal Tap. They still put on an excellent show. I loved the new song "I Despise." Before the last breakdown in "Severed" Mark sat behind the kit, their drummer played guitar, and their guitarist sang. Another highlight was "Power Trip." Despite the small crowd, it was still a really fun show. They're one of my favorite bands. Setlist:

The Flame
Year of the Snake
I Despise (new song)
All That's Left Is Blood (new song)
Pure Hatred
The Venom Inside
Coming Alive
Power Trip
The Dehumanizing Process

The promotion for the show was pretty shitty. If it wasn't for the bandcamp thing I never would've heard of it.

Same with me.

Yeah, that's a really short headline set. Do you know if they cut it short due to not many people being there?

50 people? Man that sucks.
