Wow, I really hope that comes to the east coast. I'd definitely go see Decrepit Birth and Cannabis Corpse.

You know you're doing well when you play at a place called "Rogue Pizza".

It's a decent-sized outdoor venue.

Chris Barnes + Bill Robinson + Cannabis Corpse? They're going to need to hire a dealer to come on tour with them.

Both openers are cool, but SFU is boring as hell.

Urgh. Been wanting to see Decrepit Birth and Cannabis Corpse for a long time, but I'm not very eager to give Barnes my money.

Precisely my thoughts as well.

Since it's a long time before I have to make a decision about attending or not, I think the factors that will determine my attendance are:

a) if the price is right
b) if the two bands I'm interested in have sufficiently lengthy sets
c) if more than one local band gets added to the bill

I'd leave before SFU.

Need to scratch SFU off my list, but I don't think a ticket to one of their shows should be more than $11.

Exodus & Dying Fetus must be doing pretty bad too b/c they have or will play there as well.

If the Dirty Dog show is all ages, I'd probably hit this up.

It seems like most shows there lately are all ages with a $5 upcharge at the door for minors.

Wow. $5? The places I went to before I was of age was only $2. Thats pretty brutal for an upcharge.

Or maybe b/c of living in Missouri might change that a little more than seeing shows in Texas.

What kind of venue does a upcharge for minors.

I don't think any venue here does that. I've never even heard of that.

Yeah no venues in Chicago do that. It's either all ages or age restricted. No ifs, ands,or buts.

I'd happy pay a up charge if that meant I could go to 21+ shows.

Probably to make up for the fact that they won't be buying booze at the club.

No venue here does that for minors either. It's either plain All Ages or 19+.

I feel stupid asking this but what has Barnes done in the past and/or currently do that has given him a reputation of being an asshole?

Now I guess I don't have to decide is this tour is worth going to to see Decrepit Birth and Cannabis Corpse. As much as I like those bands, paying to go to a SFU show is not something I would want to do, even though I could just leave before they come on.

Well the latest thing is that he sucker punched Travis Ryan when Cattle was on tour with SFU last year and from the way Travis put it, it was because Chris was talking trash on them on stage each night because Cattle is selling more merch than SFU.

If I remember correctly, Chris was onstage blasting Cattle Decapitation for their beliefs and stuff every night. Travis called him out on it (he admitted he was like yelling at him but nothing more) after the show and Chris sucker-punched him. Cattle dropped off the tour that night.

Travis also said something about how they took the SFU tour as an opportunity to sell the merch they had printed up for that Shockwave tour with Fear Factory that ultimately got canceled. Chris said he'd only let them on the tour if they promised to have less stuff for sale at the show than SFU, which Cattle accepted.

Reading about this now via old news posts on various websites. He comes across as a huge douche. I guess Seth Putnam wasn't lying.

Warped is different for every city but for Chicago it ends usually around 8-9pm.

I didn't think KC warped ever went till 7 or 8. I'm sure our resident KC warped/pop punk expert can shed some light on this.

But the six feet under show starts at 6 :(. And it takes 45 mins to get to Lawrence from Bonner. So even if you did make it you might be able to see six feet under. Might

It depends on who you want to see. The whole thing gets over at like 7 or 8, but I've left before at like 5 because I saw all the bands I wanted to.

My suggestion:

Go to Warped. Head to where they have the set times & start planning depending on what bands you want to see. And don't buy SFU ticket in advance.

My advice :

Go to Warped, have fun all day, don't worry about SFU.
