Now here is an on time review :3

Went to see Y&T last night up in Baltimore. No opener, they were supposed to go on at 8 (sounds strange, right?). They ended up going on at 8:16 and played for 2hrs and 15 minutes!! There was a pretty sizable crowd of about a few hundred people.

Dave Meniketti and crew sounded AMAZING and totally blew me away. They sounded clear and very powerful. These guys can still bring it after 30+ years apparently. I wonder how they sounded back in the 80s as compared to now.

Dave talked about how Eddie Trunk was at the cruise that they were recently on and the NY show the night before and how he loves the song 'Straight Thru the Heart'... but that they didn't play it. They were playing it tonight and someone should tape it and send it to Eddit tho, he quipped.

So they get to the encore and Dave Meniketti brings up what we all were thinking (They haven't played 'Summertime Girls' yet!)- basically they had a keys player who was under the weather or something and they wanted to do the song justice. He had a kind of grimace on his face when he was like 'This is the part of the show where we usually play Summertime Girls... BUT..." So then they proceeded to play it sans keys (guitars replaced them), and with a huge crowd sing-a-long. I think this was probably the least cheesy version of that song that I've heard.

Overall a GREAT SHOW and totally worth the hassle of parking around there. Totally recommend anyone who likes hard rockin' music go see Y&T live, as Dave Meniketti is almost on part with John Sykes as a singer/guitar virtuoso front man.

One of the most badass live bands around. I really don't think they should play Squeeze anymore though, that was Phil's little showcase and I can't imagine anyone else singing that one.

Ah, OK so that makes a bit more sense why Dave did NOT sing that one. I kinda agree after looking into the history a bit :/

it still sounded great tho
