Random dates, the New England one is in some small town in CT at a new venue I had never heard of until now. I looked it up and supposedly they are trying to bring in relaxing, "trouble free" stuff. Not sure how a metal show got booked here . Solid lineup wit bands I would like to see, but probably gonna have to pass.

haha wow.
I've seen Hypocrisy a bunch of times and they have never disappointed. They were one of the bands who got me into death metal. I will always go see them again for as long as it's possible. This one might be a little hard to work out though.

May is packed full of shows now. Not sure if I'll go to this yet, but Hypocrisy was awesome last time around. I'd like to see Aborted again too.

I'm not really a fan of any of these bands individually, but this is a pretty solid lineup. It's kind of a crazy time though; hopefully I can make it out.

Just looked up The Stafford Palace Theater.

Place holds 400 people.

So....150 less people at max than Palladium upstairs.

That place is gonna be an earthquake.

Saturday night in Toronto, will be at this for sure. Aborted, Arsis and Krisiun would be worth the ticket price alone.

I didn't read the first post that said Krisiun, Aborted and Arsis. I saw Starkiller and I was like "who the fuck is Starkiller, I don't think I'll go". But then I actually read the first post and saw that poster someone else posted, I think I'll go! Plus, it's a Saturday.

 Yeah, that is gonna be out of control. A show like this in a town that small is bound to be nuts.

I'll go for the pre-Catch22 material, the new song I heard (End Of Disclosure) wasn't very good. But Hypocrisy was one of the first death metal bands I started listening to back in highschool so they'll always have a special place in my heart.

?

Palladium upstairs holds about 375 these days (they used to oversell it, not so much anymore), so it's similar. Palladium downstairs can hold 1750.

Fuck yes, this is an excellent tour package, Im there. Have yet to see Aborted or Hypocrisy, and last time i saw Krisiun their set got cut short due to it being the first night of the Septic Flesh tour, and well opening nights sometimes come with problems.

Hoping ticket sales are good and the show gets moved to the Opera House though.

I looked it up and apparently it was a popular venue in the 70's and closed in 84. It's reopening as a music venue, art center type thing.

https://www.facebook.com/notes/hypocrisy/hypocrisy-forced-to-sit-out-north-american-tour/10151403647266935

HYPOCRISY have been forced to sit out the upcoming North American tour this May due to reasons beyond their control. The band members had received their visa approvals and everything was going as scheduled, until the embassy let them know that the earliest they could pick up their visas, get them stamped and so on, wasn't until late June at the earliest. A regular procedure that would normally take just a few days to sort, takes much longer at the moment due to that current workload Homeland Security is experiencing.

“As we were getting ready to go get our visas stamped and ready for the tour we were informed that the earliest we could go initially was sometime in July,” explains guitarist/vocalist Peter Tägtgren.“We then immediately continued to call them, got the label to help with some letters, and put our lawyer to work etc. The best that got us was an appointment in late June. This is a HUGE blow to us, to our fans and everyone who has supported HYPOCRISY in North America. Sometimes there are battles you can’t win, and this is one of them. We will be back, I can promise that!”

The trek was also initially set to feature Brazilian brothers in death KRISIUN,Belgian gore-grinders ABORTED, and technical-melodic-death-masters ARSIS,as well as AUTUMN’S END and STARKILL on select shows. The tour will continue as previously scheduled at this time minus HYPOCRISYand ABORTED.

I saw Arsis opening for Enslaved quite a few years ago and they were awesome. James Malone is a beast, shredding and singing at the same time. I'd imagine they still play The Face Of My Innocence live, because seeing him rock that song is worth the price of admission.

I've seen Arsis three times and for some weird reason, the best of those was in 2011 when 2/3 of the band were fill-ins. But they played the first two tracks from Celebration all three times.

04-27-2013, 02:14 PM
When i saw them it was James and the current bass player, and the guy who plays guitar for the Black Dhalia Murder now. I have no idea who the drummer was. It would've been late 2007.
