I have been anticipating this show for some time now. My friends and I drove from Cleveland and had an unbelievable time. We got there about a half hour before The Atlas Moth went on. I've been wanting to see them for so long. I first checked them out at Metalliance a couple of years ago and have been hooked since. They definitely lived up to my expectations. Absolutely crushing sludge metal!

25s and the Royal Blues
Coffin Varnish
Perpetual Generations
Holes in the Desert
An Ache for the Distance

It was Stavros' birthday and the crowd did an Atlas Moth chant and sang happy birthday to him. Really cool moment.

After their set, I went and grabbed some merch. I got a Gojira tour shirt, an Atlas Moth shirt and their vinyl.

Devin Townsend Project was next. I've recently been getting into his stuff. I've seen him twice before, but didn't know his material. Last night I was glad to be able to listen to his set and know the tunes. He was great and the set was intense, but the mix was really bad (at least where I was standing). Only the drums and bass were clear. The guitars were hard to distinguish. Devin brought up a seven year old girl to help the crowd get the jazz hands going before Lucky Animals.

Supercrush!
More!
Planet of the Apes :rocker:
Lucky Animals
Juular
Grace

At this point, I saw my friends found a spot at the back of the crowd that was elevated and had a great view of the stage. It was awesome to just have our own VIP-type place to watch Gojira. Now having seen Gojira, I knew it would be epic, but none of us expected what was to come. I have never heard a heavier set in my life! The sound was absolutely perfect and being in an old church, the acoustics were so thunderous! We were absolutely blown away!

Explosia
Flying Whales
Backbone
The Heaviest Matter in the Universe
L'Enfant Sauvage
The Art of Dying
Toxic Garbage Island
Wisdom Comes
Oroborus
Drum solo
The Axe
Vacuity
--------------
The Gift of Guilt

Explosia as an opener and Gift of Guilt as a closer were really epic. The band had so much energy throughout. At one point, Mario and Joe switched places and did a death metal jam with Mario contributing some ridiculous DM vocals.

After the show, I talked with Stavros and Dave from The Atlas Moth. Really cools dudes. We talked for a bit about them opening for Neurosis recently and just overall how stoked I was to see them perform.

As a whole, this was one of the better concerts I've been to in a while. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

$20 for t-shirts. They had a long sleeve that I think was $30 and a hoodie, but not sure of the cost.

That little girl was adorable, haha. After the show my friends and I were outside when we saw her and her dad leaving, we all told her what a great job she did.

Hung out with everyone backstage for a bit after the show. Devin just said Kingdom needed a break and it'll be back in the sets later on. He'll be touring again this fall.

I just hope if he tours that, he comes to MA (or somewhere in New England), and it isn't part of the Rock and Shock fest like it was last time.

No shit dude. Last time I saw Nile, Karl had a little kid come on the stage and sing Black Seeds of Vengeance. It was awesome!
