It would be sick if they played the Palladium for a couple nights again like they did ten years back. It would be big enough to fit lots of fans and it would be GA.

Interesting that they got Ron Reyes though, I'm amazed that Dez Cadena wouldn't want to quit the fake Misfits for this haha.

Following the announcement that Black Flag's 1979 lineup will reunite for the UK's Hevy Fest, yet another Black Flag reunion is in the works.

Former members Keith Morris (recently of OFF!), Chuck Dukowski, and Bill Stevenson have formed FLAG, along with Stephen Egerton of Descendents and All. They'll tour the U.S. this year and play Belgium's Groezrock Festival and Germany's Monster Bash. Dates below, with more to come. According to a press release, they will play "sets that pull from all eras of Black Flag's history."

Contrary to what was initially reported, Dukowski is not part of the Hevy Fest reunion.

Yeah that seemeed weird to too. Too good to be true. Watch em get Kira.

So as of now there's two Black Flags.

"Black Flag" = Greg Ginn,Ron Reyes,Robo

"Flag" =Keith Morris,Chuck Dukoski,Bill Stevenson,and they got Stephen Egerton(Descendents) on guitar.

I know Ron and Greg have been cool for a few years now. They played some songs together a few years back. And im glad they didnt get Dez. He was always my least favorite BF singer. And we all knew Rollins wouldnt do it. As much as id want that,wouldnt happen.

Oh fuck yes. :drool:

EDIT: I'm sure you all know that we love all things Black Flag. We know you do too - one of the most important bands of our time - featuring more than 16 dudes in and out of the line up. You have seen Keith and Henry walk around our grounds many times. Ginn lives here in TX still working SST. You have heard BF covers on our stages. You hear BF tunes at our venue shows every night.

So, with all of that said, we would like to know what you think about these latest developments in punk rock gossip.

From Fun Fun Fun Fest's Facebook (try saying that seven times fast). May the wild mass guessing...begin?

While I like Keith Morris a hell of a lot more as a vocalist (and I'm easily as excited about the rest of the FLAG line-up), GREG GINN AND ROBO. GREG GINN AND ROBO.

pretty damn good year to be a Black Flag fan, it looks like.

From Gregg Ginn's FB page: BLACK FLAG has reformed and is in the process of putting finishing touches on a new album with founder Greg Ginn on guitar, Ron Reyes on vocals, Gregory Moore on drums and Dale Nixon on bass.

yeah that would be cool too but with that post :

This Is Hardcore facebook post:

A bit of late night post for you.
Its hard not to say "this year will be the best/biggest/coolest"..
But as far as the bands that are coming together for this year's fest lineup I can only say that we've never had so many awesome bands from a very wide margin of bands to put on the 4 day bill.
If it all works out, it will not be something easy to top for next year...but thats how we like to have it.

DEZ CADENA JOINS FLAG

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/flag-reunites-black-flag-veterans-20130207

It'd be cool to see him as the 2nd guitarist and back up vox. Im surprised he's not on Greg's version. Glad he's just doing back up. But they should let him do songs off the Six Pack ep/Clocked In/and MAYBE some off Damaged. Im sure if they didn't have Bill already,Robo would join em

Also: It was nice of them to not dump Stephen of guitar duties since he was never in BF after getting Dez.

As of now:
BLACK FLAG= Ron Reyes(Chavo),Greg Ginn,Gregory Moore(new guy on drums) and Dale Nixon(Greg's recording machine or maybe an actual unkown bass player) on bass. Yes,they might be playing a live tape of Greg playing playing bass live while he plays guitar at shows. They've done it.

FLAG= Keith Morris,Chuck Dukowski,Dez Cadena,Bill Stevenson and Stephen Egerton(Descendents)

I just realized every BF singer is going to play BF live except Henry :boohoo:

Chavo is probably my favorite Black Flag vocalist. That said, as with most reunions, I'm pretty apathetic about it tbh :-/

“not to be confused with the ‘fake’ Flag band currently covering the songs of BLACK FLAG in an embarrassingly weak “mailing it in” fashion*** We urge you to check out the real BLACK FLAG when they hit your area.

Wow, thats real professional of them. At least FLAG will be playing a way better show than BF at this point.

I’m not gonna lie,I thought it was ok. I figured it was gonna sound like In My Head but shittier. But no,it was Ok. And that was very douchy thing to say about FLAG. As of right now FLAG > Black Flag(Official) but I wanna see both.

I don't completely hate this new song. It shouldn't have been released under the name Black Flag but if this was just some random local band or something i'd say the track is pretty solid.
