Mike Reynolds is no longer a part of For Today. He has decided that now is the time for he and his wife to put their plans in motion to enroll in bible college, and to begin working toward full-time missions work in the Middle East.

Mike will be replaced by long-time friend of the band, and former In The Midst of Lions guitar player, Sam Penner, who will be appearing with the band as they headline their upcoming Fight The Silence tour.

The singer also put out a video apologizing about it and saying that what happened doesn't reflect what he thinks or the band.

He also said that he will put a number so that people can call him about if they felt personally attacked by what was said. I want to see how that plays out

Good of the band to make a stand against the guitarists idiotic statements. I feel sorry for the poor people in the middle east who will be stuck with him now.

Fuck this band.

Why? Because one of their guys made a statement that had nothing to do with the feelings of other members?

Or because the lead singer will give a small speech during the set about his religion? Sure it's annoying but can be dealt with.

Because they fucking suck, that's why!

This, and everything that you also said. The religous shit is bad enough, add on top of that the fact that they are awful.

The singer never actually said he or anyone else in the band disagreed with those statements, seems to me like he kinda just sidestepped the subject of "that lifestyle" and gave a sort of half-assed "sorry if you felt offended" PR apology.

I still find it funny (like JD told me after we saw them at Warped) that they band stands there preaching about everything and loving each other then plays a breakdown and watches everyone just beat the shit outta each other.
