I know most people hear hate even the word "glam metal", but I just wanted to list my top ten favorite new generation glam metal albums. If you find something you like great,if not oh well.So hear we go.
Number Ten Is.......
10.Reckless Love-Reckless Love
http://www.recklesslove.com/images/rl_rl.jpg

Tracklist:
1.Feel My Heat
2.One More Time
3.Badass'
4.Love Machine
5.Beautiful Bomb
6.Romance
7.Sex
8.Back To The Paradise
9.So Yeah!!
10.Wild Touch
11.Born To Tock

Band They Most Resemble: Poison

While Crashdiet is the Skid Row of the 2000's, Reckless Love is the Poison,so they are a turn-off for a lot of people, but since I like Poison, I do like Reckless Love, very much actually. What surprises me the most though is how these guys sound a lot like Van Halen and Def Leppard. When I try to compare them to other bands, all I can think of is Van Halen,Poison, and Def Leppard. Sure, this record has a lot of pop elements in it,but that's what it's going to take for rock to go back to top 40 radio (not that I care,it's just I can see why they have pop in there stuff). The only bad song on here to me is the oddly titled ballad Sex.Other then that, the album is great, with awesome rock anthems like "Born To Rock" and "Love Machine", and the Crazy, Crazy Nights sounding "Beautiful Bomb".If you don't like glam metal though, this won't change your opinion a bit,it might even make you hate it more.

Number Nine Is.......
9.This Might Hurt-The Treatment
http://hardrockhideout.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/thetreatmentthismighthurt.jpg?w=300&h=300

Tracklist:
1.Departed
2.The Doctor
3.I Want Love
4.Just Tell Me Why
5.D**k,F**k,F***t
6.Nothing To Lose But Our Minds
7.Shake The Mountain
8.I Fear Nothing
9.Winter Sun
10.Lady Of The Light
11.Road Rocket
12.Stone Cold Love
13.I Will Be There
14.Just Tell Me Why (Acoustic version)

Band They Most Resemble: Kiss

Some would argue that these guys are more straight up rock and roll,in fact,a lot of people would argue that. But when I saw them on The Tour, I was reminded a lot of 80's hair bands. They do in fact sound a lot like Kiss and Motley Crue alike, while also sounding like Aerosmith and Def Leppard. A really good combination as it seems, because this album rocks, and if it weren't for the unneeded acoustic version of "Just Tell Me Why", this would be a perfect album.Song's like "The Doctor" and "D**k,F**k,F***t", will remind you of the glory years of 70's Kiss and 80's Motley Crue. This is an album that EVERY rock fan, or even metal fan, should listen to.

8.Feel The Power-Blessed By A Broken Heart

Tracklist:
1.Deathwish
2.Shut Up And Rock
3.Love Nightmare
4.Forever
5.Thunder Dome
6.Holdin' Back For Nothin'
7.I've Got You
8.Rockin' All Night
9.Scream It Like You Mean It
10.Skate Or Die
11.Innocent Blood
12.Sleepless Nights

Band They Most Resemble: Dokken

Probably the one that will get the most hate on this list, but I could care less. This album is EXTREMELY awesome, I have played it over and over and over again. The only bad thing about the album to me is the unneeded intro to "Holdin' Back For Nothin'", "Thunder Dome". I just love the guitar playing on this album,it's extremely good. This album almost completely gets rid of the metalcore influences (except on "Love Nightmare"),and for the most part they have gone full on glam."I've Got You","Rockin' All Night",and "Forever" would have been huge had they been released in the 80's.If I could compare them to other bands,I would honestly say a mix between Dokken,FireHouse, and Night Ranger, with hints of Dragonforce.Don't know why I think Night Ranger though, something about their melodic side just screams Night Ranger to me.If you like glam and don't mind a scream or two in a song,I would get this, and it could possibly appeal to the non-glam crowd as well,so just sit back and "Feel The Power".

Number 7 Is.......
7.New Religion-Crazy Lixx
http://hardrockheavymetal.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/crazy_lixx_-_new_religion.jpg?w=450&h=450

Tracklist:
1.Rock And A Hard Place
2.My Medicine (R.O.C.K.)
3.21 'Till I Die
4.Blame It On Love
5.Road To Babylon
6.Children Of The Cross
7.The Witching Hour
8.Lock Up Your Daughter
9.She's Mine
10.What Of Our Love
11.Desert Bloom
12.Voodoo Woman

Band They Most Resemble: Danger,Danger

Crazy Lixx, one of the many bands to come out of the Swedish glam metal scene, and certainly one of the best. This album has all a glam lover could ask for, shredding guitars,Def Leppard harmonies, and anthemic choruses. This is a great album start to finish, save for the unneeded interlude "Desert Bloom" (what is it with glam bands and the useless instrumentals these days?).Great tracks include the two Bon Jovi influenced songs "She's Mine" and "What Of Our Love",the Ratt sounding "The Witching Hour",and "21 'Till I Die",a song that screams Hey Stoopid-era Alice Cooper. But what most of this album sounds like is a heavier Danger,Danger, with an overload of Def Leppard harmonies, which is awesome if you like that kind of sound. So,if I where to compare them to other bands it would be a Danger,Danger/Def Leppard/Bon Jovi/Alice Cooper. If you don't like those bands, you might still like Crazy Lixx, because these guys do have their own touch on past glam metal. In many years from now, if glam metal ever gets popular again (not radio popular exactly),this album will be remembered has a classic.

Tracklist:
1.Death To All But Metal
2.Asian Hooker
3.Community Property
4.Eyes Of A Panther
5.Fat Girl (Thar She Blows)
6.Eatin' Ain't Cheetin'
7.Party All Day
8.Turn Out The Lights
9.Stripper Girl
10.The Shocker
11.Girl From Oklahoma

Band They Most Resemble: Every glam metal band in existence

What else can I say that hasn't already been said about these guys? They bring back the rock 'n roll from the 80's better than most bands can. They have extremely good musicianship, great vocals, and soaring glam anthems that is sure to please every glam metal fan.Even none glam metal fans can enjoy this record. There is one thing I have to say though. When language and vulgarity are too harsh,I won't listen to, insult me all you want, it's just who I am, but I generally will ignore it when everything else is really great (which in this case it is),and since they're not serious,I can take it.When I try to compare them to other bands, all I can come up with is all of them, and that's what is so great about them, they literally capture everything good about all the 80's and early 90's hair bands. With the Bon Jovi sounding "Party All Day",to the Whitesnake-ish "Fat Girl",to the Poison ready ballad "Community Property",they have all the bases covered. So,if you want serious music, this is so not the album for you.But if you want head-banging metal and an occasional laugh, this is really for you.

The new Steel Panther album though is more of a serious record in the sense of the songs don't sound like parodies almost. It is all original.

Plus it's more vulgar than the first cd!

Yea I guess you are right, but I feel the second album drags to much because of it's overload of songs.

Number 5 Is.......
5.Permission To Land-The Darkness

Tracklist:
1.Black Shuck
2.Get Your Hands Off Of My Women
3.Growing On Me
4.I Believe In A Thing Called Love
5.Love Is Only A Feeling
6.Givin' Up
7.Stuck In A Rut
8.Friday Night
9.Love On The Rocks With No Ice
10.Holding My Own

Band They Most Resemble: Def Leppard

Almost everybody knows The Darkness. They had a few big hits in Europe, while having their album crack the top 40 in the U.S (not an easy thing for a glam band these days),and pretty much made the first step for glam metal's comeback. They are comedic in their songwriting, but still get serious when it's it time for it.A lot of people may hate them, but people who want this type of rock back don't, and that includes me.Musically they are a Def Leppard meets Queen meets GnR, with great classic rock riffs and huge glam choruses. The lead single "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" was the biggest success glam metal had in about a decade, and other singles "Love Is Only A Feeling" and "Growing On Me" where also really popular outside of the U.S.The only track I don't like on this album is "Stuck In A Rut", I don't know why though, but there's something about it I don't like.Anyway, glam metal fans and rock fans in general should give this album a listen, and be prepared to be blown away.

Number 4 Is.......
4.Freedom Rock-H.e.a.t

Tracklist:
1.We're Gonna Make It To The End
2.Black Night
3.I Can't Look The Other Way
4.Shelter
5.Beg,Beg,Beg
6.Danger Road
7.Stay
8.Everybody Wants To Be Someone
9.Nobody Loves You (Like I Do)
10.I Know What It Takes
11.Cast Away
12.High On Love
13.Who Will Stop The Rain

Band They Most Resemble: Night Ranger

Melodic rock at its best here.H.e.a.t have played an important factor in helping bring back 80's rock, also coming from the Swedish glam metal scene, and having songs scaling the top 40 charts there. This is in no way, shape or form, heavy metal,it's straight up 80's rock, cruisin'-through-the-city-at-night type of music.H.e.a.t sound as if you took Bon Jovi,Night Ranger,Journey, and Europe and smashed them together. This album has no bad tracks and no useless interludes, with the weakest track being "I Know What It Takes",but that doesn't mean it's not a good song.A lot of these songs sound as if they could be a theme song for an 80's movie, like the glam anthem "We're Gonna Make It To The End" and the amazing power ballad "Shelter".Other great songs include the bluesy "High On Love",sure-fire 80's hit "Beg,Beg,Beg",and the epic album closer "Who Will Stop The Rain".This album is a classic to me,and I can't stop playing it.It just captures the 80's so well,it really takes me there. So,for anybody who likes 80's rock, this will definitely be the album to get,so get ready to FEEL THE HEAT!

4.Breakin' The Chainz
5.Needle In Your Eye
6.Tikket
7.Out Of Line
8.It's A Miracle
9.Straight Outta Hell
10.Back On Trakk

Band They Most Resemble: Skid Row

One of the first bands to start the Swedish glam metal scene,Crashdiet is the definite new generation glam metal band. This album is all killer no filler, with the weakest song being "Out Of Line".This album has already become a classic in it's own right to the genre, and has rightfully earned that spot.Crashdiet bring back the sleaze part of the 80's extremely well, and this album is a great example of that. The sound is like Skid Row/Guns N' Roses/Motley Crue. This album draws you in with opener "Knokk 'Em Down',and doesn't stop until the ending notes of "Back On Trakk".Among the highlights are "It's A Miracle",(which would have been huge in the 80's),"Riot In Everyone" (this one went to the Sweden top 40),and the extremely sleazy "Queen Obscene / 69 Shots".Unfortunately though, lead singer Dave Lepard committed suicide shortly after the tour for this album, but was replaced well (more on that later). This album should appeal to Rock,Metal, and Glam Metal fans alike, because this is truly a masterpiece. This album even has a festival named after it,the "Rest In Sleaze Festival" in Sweden. So you really need to listen to this album all the way through, trust me,it won't disappoint.

7.Wild Boys
8.My Good Reputation
9.Cry Your Eyes Out
10.Simple Man
11.Blood On Me
12.Standin' On The Verge

Band They Most Resemble: Love/Hate

As the band that started the whole Swedish glam metal scene,Hardcore Superstar has made a great mark on glam history. This band is extraordinarily awesome, bringing the sounds of Love/Hate,L.A. Guns,Motley Crue, and Faster Pussycat all together to bring about great music. This band is extremely popular in Sweden, with several number ones and Grammy awards there. The album's opener "Kick On The Upperclass" kicks things into gear (:D),and continues with some of their most-known and arguably best songs, including the Faster Pussycat influenced "We Don't Celebrate Sundays",the Motley Crue sounding-anthem "Wild Boys",and my personal favorite, the sleazy-rocker "My Good Reputation" which sounds a lot like Love/Hate (you will find a lot of their stuff sounds like that).Other great standout songs include the L.A. Guns sounding rocker "Last Forever", "Bag On Your Head" and "Cry Your Eyes Out",both of which sound like they came straight from Skid Row's songbook. My second favorite song is another Love/Hate sounding track called "Simple Man",which is not a cover by the way.If I had to pick a least favorite song,it would "She's Offbeat",but this album really doesn't have a bad track at all.If you like rock music, you WILL like this album, and if you don't I don't know what's wrong with you.Metal fans should appreciate how more heavy these guys are compared to other glam bands.

4.Generation Wild
5.Rebel
6.Save Her
7.Down With The Dust
8.Native Nature
9.Chemical
10.Bound To Fall
11.Beautiful Pain

Band They Most Resemble: still Skid Row!

I have already told everyone how good these guys are when I posted "Rest In Sleaze",but I'm going to tell everybody again. This band is THE next generation hair band. They're combination of GnR,Skid Row,and Motley Crue is just so incredible. If they're is one non-Motley Crue or Skid Row hair band that metal fans could enjoy,Crashdiet would be them.I just can't describe in words how good this album is,the only one I can think of to come close to is "Perfect".The album starts with the pounding "442" intro, that leads to the heart-pumping metal anthem "Armageddon"."So Alive" is one of my favorite Crashdiet songs, with one of the best pre-choruses of this century.Another thing I love about this album is that it's very dark in nature, save for maybe "Chemical",which has the best chorus the band has ever created. The best song on here though,is the title track, which I have labeled the next "Youth Gone Wild".Other great tracks (though they are all great), include the ballad "Save Her",which probably would have topped the charts in '88,the Motley Crue rocker "Rebel",and "Native Nature",a song that sounds like Skid Row should have made back in their glory days.So my friends,I can safely say that Crashdiet is the best glam metal revival band, and this album is THE new generation glam metal album.

I had a feeling this would be number 1 :horns:. Good album, and great job on the list! Sometimes it's easy to forget that there are all these bands bringing glam/hair metal back. Even though it's pretty much guilty pleasure music for me, I still have a small soft spot for hair bands in my cold, dark metal heart lol, since I was super into it when I was younger. Gonna check out a couple of the bands I'm not familiar with on this list.

I like that steal panther album... although mine has another track at the end of it after girl from oklahoma

I also really like set the world on fire by black veil brides... there are moments where I can really hear the glam influence and other times where I don't hear it. the guitar tone and drumb tone don't scream 80's to me, and neither really does his voice. I know their image is glam, but...find it difficult to call most of their music glam.

I always thought the drum tone did,and his voice is kinda 80's kinda not to me.I know what your saying though.Songs like "Fallen Angels","Set The World On Fire" and "Rebel Love Song" I can hear the 80's influences on a lot,but songs like "Saviour","God Bless You",and of course their entire first album, the influences aren't really shown that much (still their though).
