Saw the tour announcement and got really sad. Then I remembered that I hated the album anyways. I'd still love to see Steve in a club though.

These'll be the smallest venue's Steve's played for decades...

The London one has a capacity of 800.

Terrible album but would I go see Steve Harris at Academy Islington? Absolutely.

I doubt I will. While it would be kind of interesting to see what his band does with Maiden songs or other covers, it's going to be jam-packed with Maiden fanboys and probably therefore a thoroughly unpleasant show. Especially since the British Lion stuff is awful, and he's bound to play most of it.

Do you really see his singer doing anything other than massacring any Maiden songs they do?

So is it worth putting up with Maiden fanboys, bad renditions of Maiden songs, and all the shit off British Lion just to be not-really-all-that-close to Steve Harris? No.

I kinda get that. I'm not saying its exactly the same thing. But having seen Arson Anthem at a bar that doesn't hold more than 2-300 people, and having Phil up there w/ Arson Anthem and having people in the crowd who no doubt never heard them and having people in the crowd yelling for them to play Pantera songs. I see the similarities & not wanting to deal w/ morons.

But if he were playing in a club near you, you'd be one of the Maiden fanboys, right? ;)

If you haven't seen/heard Manky bitch about it enough. Maiden has not been within about a 6 hour drive when they tour around where we live. If this came near me I'd go b/c Steve Harris is probably about the closest I'll ever be getting to see anyone from Maiden. :hmm:

Yes.;)

But that is the predictable answer from me.

Ah, Maiden fanboys.

He's playing in Belgium in a venue that has a capacity of 500!

Man, am I glad I'm not bothering with this tour if this is the setlist he's keeping:

'This is My God'
'Lost Worlds'
'Karma Killer'
'Father Lucifer'
'The Chosen Ones'
'These Are the Hands'
'Guineas and Crowns'
'The Burning'
'Last Chance'
'Us Against the World'
'World Without Heaven'
'Do You Want It'
'Judas'

Encore:
'Let it Roll'
'Eyes of the Young '

The only reason I would want to see this tour would be to see Steve up close. Not a great set. I guess it's cool he didn't do Maiden covers though.

I can only imagine the madness. Clubs packed to the rafters with every hardcore Maiden fan within a 2 hour vicinity. All just hoping to meet Steve.

It would be me in that mess if it were in the US...

Wow, I really was expecting an encore of Maiden songs. To be dead honest, I doubt I would even go to this if it came to America if they're only playing their own songs.
