Tonight while Rigor Mortis was playing a show in Ft. Worth, TX Mike collapsed on stage due to a heart attack. He was pronounced dead shortly after.

Bruce Corbitt posted this on FB:

"My brother is gone! The only reason I am who I am is because of this man. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't even be in a band. RIP Mike Scaccia! The greatest guitar player I ever knew!"

Rest in peace. :(

Being a big Ministry and RevCo fan this is terrible to hear. He seemed like such a nice guy. My condolences to his friends and family.

Actually what they are saying, bizarre as it is, is that the strobe lights that they were using on stage were too intense and caused him to have a seizure on stage and he died from the seizure. Supposedly, he actually asked the crew to turn off the lights because he was having problems and for whatever reason they didnt turn them off and he had the seizure.SOURCE (http://www.anybodylistening.net/breakdownroom/index.php?topic=3544.0)

I hope someone sues the Rail Club over that. I know that some of those clubs are real holes in the walls, but they still need to be more responsible than that.

The venue posted this in response:

"**This needs to be cleared up about the strobe lights, it's getting out of hand, after the first song Harden wanted them off and they were turned off, everything happened during the 6th song they were playing, Please Repost This, People Are Being Misinformed**"
