Papa Roach are the reason I didn't see Stone Sour in London a few weeks ago. It was a co-headline :(

I wouldn't mind seeing Stone Sour again, especially since their new album is so damn good.

I'd like to see Stone Sour again, but they've been touring with some shitty bands lately. That Avalanche tour they did was such a terrible support bill.

I don't get why people complain about things like this? Just show up late, i've done it a number of times when I didn't care or want to see the support bands. Going to a concert isn't like showing up for work, it's not a big deal to be late for a show. If you don't like the support bands, nothing says you have to see them.

Depends 100000% on the venue (i.e. how early you have to be there to get a good spot), and whether it's a co-headline or not, because that means shorter sets.

Out of curiosity, where did you hear this? This tour would be killer! If this tour is confirmed, I hope it comes to Chicago, Madison, or most ideally Milwaukee. Stone Sour are in my Top 10 bands or so that I want to see live. I also love Papa Roach and wouldn't mind seeing them live for the second time, the first time for me was in June 2010.

On the current European leg of the tour, I've heard online that Papa Roach gets about 50 minutes and Stone Sour about 80 minutes.

My reasoning for why I will bitch when there is shit support for a band I'd like to see is its harder for me to want to shell out $30+ to just see the headliner. I have a hard time wanting to see a band play 70-90 minutes and then leave. If I shell out $ for the ticket and any other concert-related expenses I, personally, don't want to show up for just a headlining band and leave. I'd rather spend the $ on a whole concert I'd want to see.

Granted, if the headliner is someone I REALLY want to see and its not a long drive then yea I'll show up late. But the majority of the time I'd much rather see a whole show I want to see. Maybe some feel this way, maybe some don't.

Not in London. It was co-headline.

Same for me regarding the "money well spent" aspect. Although the only time I really show up late is for large package tours (and most of the time that's because of work or other engagements, not because of choosing to do so). If there's a headliner I really wanna see, i'll sit through all the other bands I don't like or am unfamiliar with (this year's Metal Alliance tour for example). Someone else also mentioned the factor of getting a good spot inside. This is mainly a big deal if I have a floor ticket for a big arena or amphitheatre show, another case in which i'll just put up with any support bands I don't like.

In all fairness, I still dig Papa Roach's first 2 albums (especially lovehatetragedy which is extremely underrated as a hard rock album), though from what i've seen from their setlists over the last few years, they've barely played anything from those 2 albums.

Too bad they are completely ignoring Texas on this tour.

Unless they've really gotten popular since their last tour that people were saying venues were almost empty, they're not going to fill this place. When I saw them when Come Whatever May came out at Roseland, it was pretty empty, and that CD sold more than this new one.

I would go for Stone Sour.

House Of Gold and Bones Part 1 is one of the best Hard Rock albums since AIC's Dirt.

LOL no. Its solid, but saying its one of the best in the last 15-20 years is a little much.

Wow, bold statement. I still haven't listened to the whole album yet, but I do like what I've heard, so I gotta listen to it.

I'll skip this tour if it comes near me. I can't stand Papa Roach, and I don't care enough about seeing Stone Sour to go to this.

I've not heard it yet, but I think Audio Secrecy is the best of the first three albums.

KC is Stone Sour only no Papa Roach. That'd be the ideal time to go.

If Testament and Overkill weren't playing on the same night, I'd honestly think about making the trip out to College Station to relive the time when I was thirteen and stupid.

...And apparently, the venue thinks Papa Roach is headlining.

Now, officially going to the Milwaukee date. Got the tickets today as a surprise early Christmas gift. First time seeing Stone Sour (who I've wanted to see for a while) and second time seeing Papa Roach (the first was in the summer of 2010)
