I'll admit I haven't read an issue of Nintendo Power in well over fifteen years, but it was a VERY important part of my childhood from 1990-1994. In the early 1990's, before the internet was popular, this was really one of the only ways to get info, tips, cheats, previews, etc. I can't remember how many games I got excited for just by reading the pages of this magazine and I remember every four weeks running to the mailbox in hopes that that months issue was coming in the mail. If you look at the posters hanging on the walls in the Angry Video Game Nerds room, I had most of those posters hanging on my walls. I'm really surprised actually that it still was in publication this late. But regardless, hearing about it ceasing production is another part of my childhood dying.

Thinking of the magazine; my subscription started with issue #23 (http://www.gamingmagz.com/video-game-magazines/nintendo-power-issue-23-april-1991.html#.ULvSAhwYxc0) and went to issue #62 (http://www.gamingmagz.com/video-game-magazines/nintendo-power-issue-62-july-1994.html#.ULvSIxwYxc0) (I think). But my most memorable cover of all-time has to be issue #50 (http://www.gamingmagz.com/video-game-magazines/nintendo-power-issue-50-july-1993-2.html#.ULvSWxwYxc0).

Anyone else here remember Nintendo Power magazine?

I loved it as well until I got into other systems and Electronic Gaming Monthly became my most favorite.
