So yeah, the regular thread is great when everyone's listening to a bunch of shit on random or something, but how about one for when you're listening to full albums?
I'll kick off with a few I've listened to in the last day or so:
Heavy Kingdom
Wino & Conny Ochs
16 Stones

Just got around to listening to this whole thing. Pretty good, lots of cool parts, but I just don't think it's as good as the self-titled. Gonna take a few more listens before I can give a real good opinion though.

Meh,Hands down their worst album. The heavy songs are pretty good, but there is just way too many damn ballads and radio-rock songs. I've always defend All That Remains, but I can't defend this record.

Yeah, the Havoc Unit album is pretty good but it's not the same... I prefer the older stuff because it's more akin to melodeath than hard industrial IMO.

Yeah, I'm finally steaming it on youTube. It sounds like the logical progression from Cypher. But I agree, a little too abrassive.

I agree. I think Lights Out is really good and some songs have the potential to be truly amazing, but I feel like they should've waited another year and developed the songs more. Nothing as catchy as on Hisingen Blues.

The basic problem is the rock songs are all boring. The slower ones are all great; Slow Motion Countdown is fantastic.
I've had the album since August, but only really got around to listening to it in the last couple of weeks and was a bit concerned I'd fucked up and missed another year-end list contender (there have been two or three)... hadn't

As much as I love Nile, I thought it was nice to hear them do something a little different for a change. There isn't much variation from record to record since Annihilation of the Wicked IMO

totally! "...the gods detest" was good, but not much new other than the amazing beat during the verse of Kafir!.
not sure if i misread your post, or vice versa, but i meant that people tend to be giving it a negative response just because of the clean vocals (in one section of one song).

This is a great bluesy rock album. Kind of like Bad Company + old Whitesnake.
Micky Moody, Neil Murray, Chris Ousey, Harry James, Adam Wakeman, Laurie Wisefield.
Finally one of the ex-Whitesnake-members-trying-to-be-Whitesnake-again bands has produced something good.
