What Hell is About

First night of the tour and Randy is back and in top form! Did not write down the setlists for the other bands. Missed Sylosis, but Hatebreed was solid as an opening band. In Flames lost all the momentum Hatebreed built up and I still think their vocalist is struggling a bit! I saw them at Mayhem and thought the same thing when sure enough their Phoenix stop was the last one before they pulled out! Boring set! Each band had 30-45 minute sets.

Lamb of God has 2 small video screens now and a nice little stage set up. Even Chris Adler's drumset lights up! The screens alternate between videos programmed to match the music (think Rob Zombie) and live cameras of the band. The lighting all throughout the night was badass. Randy's energy never stopped and you could tell he was happy to be up there. The venue is the same as where Dethklok/Gojira were to play with LoG and it is definitely too big for this tour. The pit was full but seats were empty all throughout! Doesn't fucking matter LoG was phenomenal!

Setlist:

Drum Intro (Adler botched!)
Desolation
Ghost Walking
Walk With Me In Hell
Set to Fail
Ruin
Now You've Got Something To Die For
Eleventh Hour :rocker:
The Undertow
Omerta
Contractor
____________
The Passing (recording)
In Your Words
Laid to Rest
Redneck
Black Label

Great show! Gojira's new album kept playing between sets :horns:

Here was In Flames set. I think they put on a decent performance. Only stuck around for first couple LoG songs before I decided to head out.

Sounds of a Playground Fading
Delight and Angers
Where the Dead Ships Dwell
Reroute to Remain
Embody the Invisible
Cloud Connected
The Mirror's Truth
System
Deliver Us
Take this Life
My Sweet Shadow

Holy fuck, it only took several several years for them to bring back The 11th Hour.

That makes me wanna go!

Christ Embody the Invisible is great but this is literally the only Colony song they've played in the states since 2006. Not headlining so not really surprised of the short shit set...but its literally the same 2-3 songs from every album rotating every tour. Honestly change something up.

11th Hour and Omerta:drool: In Flames set is lame, but at least they are playing Embody the Invisible.

Is no one of the opinion that this is a short-ass LOG set?

Edit: Seriously. I'd be pissed if I went.

Kinda weak In Flames set, but either way thanks to all for the info!

Kinda bad that Anders is allegedly sounding bad (and killing momentum!)

Kinda thought Hatebreed would be a better... pre-LOG act than in Flames, but in flames has more sales?

11th Hour might be enough to make me want to go to this.

Other 2 times I've seen them headline they played 15 songs. I'd say this is par for the course for them.

Excellent video from last night's show! :rocker::rocker::light::light:

Eleventh Hour: http://youtu.be/lVt5FK2looY

Walk With Me In Hell: http://youtu.be/Byz3SqeA13c

I'm not alone thinking In Flames sucked it up. Uploader also put up an In Flames video, in his description says "Sorry to say that but In Flames was the weakest band of the day... Worst performance I ever seen from these guys."

This was one of their better songs!

Deliver Us: http://youtu.be/o4YKoqv8sm0

Yeah the set isn't alarmingly short at all, It's only 1 less song than their January tour.

According to setlist.fm, In Flames' first song was Fear Is the Weakness and not Sounds of a Playground Fading.

Was Adler's drum intro from Straight for the Sun? I can't believe they're not playing that incredible 2 minutes of mayhem. Also how did he botch it?

Had to be that song, as that's what they started with for the January dates.

Might've been. I honestly don't remember, but it wasn't more than 20-30 seconds at most and went right into Desolation, no Straight for the Sun =/

Adler kind of lost his rhythm when it began. It was very awkward to watch! He quickly regained his shit and kicked ass all night though :rocker:

I wouldn't mind the absence of #6 or Straight nearly as much as I would the absence of both Descending and Blacken. Those two are probably the greatest songs off Sacrament.
Also, compared to the set's overall length, that encore's irrationally long.

Yeah when I saw them in January they played 1 hour and 15 minutes. I know they have done longer sets I think we should at least get another 15 minutes out of them. Add Descending or Pathetic, Blacken, and Vigil.

Well if it's anything like it was two years ago at the Sunken Gardens, between $20 - $25 for a shirt, $25 - $30 for the big fucks like me who need a 2XL.

Still wondering why they moved it to Backstage Live outside. They sold pretty good when they came to Sunken Gardens last time. Oh well, it's going to be a hell of a show and intimate as well with bodies flying :rocker::rocker::rocker:
