From Blabbermouth:

Swedish progressive melodic death metal icons SCAR SYMMETRY will return to the North American continent once again in November/December as part of "The Unseen Empire" North American tour.

Commented SCAR SYMMETRY guitarist Per Nilsson: "It is with great joy that we can finally make it official: next month we'll return to North America for our very first North American headlining tour! No more thirty- or forty-minute sets; this time you will get the full monty a setlist jam-packed with songs from all our albums, and we might even throw in a few surprises! Along with us, we're bringing melodeath super virtuosos THREAT SIGNAL, progressive masterminds STEALING AXION and space deathcore aficionados LORD OF WAR. It's gonna be a shredfest!"

"The Unseen Empire" North American tour dates:

Nov. 24 - Springfield, VA - Empire
Nov. 25 - Trenton, NJ - Championship Bar
Nov. 26 - Montreal, QC - Foufounes Electriques
Nov. 27 - Ottawa, ON - Maverick's

Many more dates will be added.

3.....2.......1......and it's canceled:

Here's the press release from Scar Symmetry:

"It is with deep regret that we bring you these news: due to unforeseen problems securing our US work visas in time, our North American headlining tour will have to be cancelled. The waiting time for a visa interview appointment was several weeks longer than what we've experienced before. Our sincere apologies to Threat Signal, Stealing Axion, Lord of War and Kings Field - you guys rule and we do hope for the opportunity to share a stage with you sometime in a not-to-distant future instead!

To our fans... we will work our asses off to make this up to you! Expect to see Scar Symmetry back in North America in 2013 - back with a vengeance!"

Damn, this was pretty quick. The tour had been announced just a month ago...
