Fun show. This was at an art center on a university campus. The theater was really fancy and most everyone had tucked in shirts and slacks and the ushers were wearing tuxedos. I had on shorts and a Rush tour shirt. Felt good when the usher escorted me all the way down to the first row. There were a number of videos and skits used during the show which made the performance a bit more theatrical than just getting up there and playing the songs. Ian's backing band was really good. There was a second (much younger) singer who sings on TAAB2 but also handled some of the vocal duties for the first part of the show. He was good and sounded a lot like Ian. Ian was in top shape, with his vocals sounding a bit better than when I saw Tull back in 2010 and his flute playing was great. Awesome solos.

The show was nice and lengthy (about 2 hours) and it was really cool to hear all of Thick as a Brick, most of the new stuff sounded really cool live as well. The audience was pretty lame and I had to sit the entire time which was a bummer but the stage was really low and I was right up against it so that was great.

After the show I waited around and got Ian to sign my copy of Aqualung and got a picture with him. He was obviously tired and not necessarily in the mood for autographs but he still took the time to sign for everyone there so that was nice of him.

This tour is kind of expensive and mostly only hitting theaters but if you have the cash and it's coming near you, go. Both TAABs are very fun live.

I was really curious how this show would turn out. I'm not going due to Primus' tour conflicting with the Nashville date, but thanks for the review.
