Early. Intro was dropped too.

Just brought the mic stand out for Widowmaker.

Take Me Up
Chainsaw Charlie (Murders In The New Morgue)

People are leaving because they don't know the songs.

Last song.

Unholy Terror, Dying For The World and KFD ignored yet again. Was hopeful when they included Killahead in the intro tape :(

Fucking lame. The best part of that song is the break in the middle.

So this is Blackie's big set? 16 songs (not excluding medleys)? Fuck off Blackie, go back to your day job.

Yeah, too many medleys and shortened versions. Headless Children and Widowmaker were cut down too. And playing the whole of Great Misconceptions of Me just sent people to sleep/the bar/the toilet.

I'll still go when they come over here, but was expecting better. I hate medleys too, they need to play Hellion in it's entirety, no need for a stupid medley that they do all the time.

Oh I don't know, of all the tracks they medleyed, Hellion is the most obvious. A few bars covers that entire song. Same when they do it with On Your Knees.

The ones they need to play in full are the songs they don't normally play. That's kind of the whole point of this tour.

Have to say though, the crowd were pathetic. They only got excited for Wild Child, I Wanna Be Somebody, L.O.V.E. Machine and Blind In Texas. Barely knew any of the other songs, and some even left part way through because they didn't know the songs.

So what is exactly played in the Crimson Idol Medley? All of Crimson Idol except The Idol and The Great Misconceptions of Me, or just a select few songs?

Bits and pieces of The Invisible Boy, I Am One, Arena of Pleasure and The Gypsy Meets The Boy.

It was a good thing to do really, because they album does drag on and repeat itself a lot... condensing it works well.

Eh, I'd really enjoy seeing this show. But then again I'm not like a passionate WASP fan or anything, I don't have huge expectations from a setlist from them.

I might too if I'd not seen them much. But they tour a lot, and always play the same stuff. It was nice seeing them break out a few different things, and actually play a full-length set, but they were only playing at it really. They shortened or medley'd nearly every interesting track, so they could still play the boring ones in full. Hardly what they promised for a 30th anniversary set.

The stage show wasn't what was talked of in the press releases a year ago either.

Not as bad as last time they promised something special and didn't deliver, but still a poor show.

This really doesn't make sense to me why a HEADLINING band would do so many medleys. I understand doing medleys if your an opening act, since that way you can fit in more in a short amount of time, but shortening and doing medleys of songs, while your the headlining act is quite bonkers. The Crimson Idol medley is a pretty cool idea, but it would of been much cooler if it was done for The Last Command or Headless Children, since Crimson Idol was played in its entirety in 2008.

Especially with songs like Widowmaker, Headless Children, Sleeping in the Fire, and Hellion (for me anyways) i want to hear those songs in full. But thats just my opinion.
