The way it would work is we all would submit lists (metal albums of course) I would total them up and put it up on rateyourmusic.com since I have an account there for all to see. I've wanted to do it on other sites but we can't get enough people. You would have to submit a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 100.

Anyone game for this?

What decade are we doing?

Yes. I would do this if it were for the past decade.

Yes. I would do this if it were for the past decade.

Would this mean doing the 2000's or 2002-present?

'80s or bust.

It would be either this or the 90's.

I have no problem with doing a 00's list but a) I don't think I'd be able to participate in it and b) it would be after the first two decades.

Aight, I'd just prefer more recent years because that's what I'm most experienced with, but any decade is super chill. Just let us know from when to when, and I'll drop a list here.

...haven't we done something like this before?

Kind of but we didn't pool our resources.

Plus my tastes have expanded considerably since then. :D

Yes, in theory, but just like all our lists, there's never enough consensus to really make it meaningful. Mostly because there simply aren't enough people here. Albums will probably only need about 5 votes to make the list.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. It would still be fun to do though.

I would actually bring out the proverbial big guns for this i.e. reach out to people who are no longer with the site. Their opinion matters just as much as anyone currently here.

Let's do all three decades then.

I'm well up for this. I think it will be interesting to see how many once beloved albums on this site actually age well!

Let's do all three decades then.

We should start with the 80's, see how that goes, then do the next 2 separately if it went well.
