Yeah, my friend told me about this last night. Really sad. :( True Romance is one of my favorite movies. I haven't seen anywhere even speculating as to why he did it though.

Heartbreaking story:( He was a great director. True Romance is in my top 100 favorite movies of all-time.

Apparently he had inoperable brain cancer.

R.I.P. All opinions aside, he committed suicide, which means he died a truly tormented man, whether it be because of his cancer or some other reasons.
May his work out-last the circumstances of his death.

They said there was a suicide note in his car and a formal one at his house.

Maybe he didn't. Maybe he preferred going that way knowing the cancer would be worse.
