Talked to a promoter friend who told me he just booked Cannibal Corpse for later in the year on a headline show in Louisville, KY. No word on opening acts

I totally misspelled Cannibal. I'm not their biggest fan and just simply wasn't familiar with how it was spelled. I wonder who else is on this tour or if this is part of the As I Lay Dying tour?

There is no way this is part of the As I Lay Dying tour. Two different spectrum's of music there.

Cannibal Corpse opened for Hatebreed 3 years ago so there goes that theory. Not saying they are touring with As I Lay Dying, but it wouldn't be completely out of the realm of possibility.

That was Sounds of the Underground. I didn't go, but I remember that tour happened right around the time I was first getting into metal. If I'm not mistaken In Flames, Through the Eyes of the Dead, and The Chariot were on the bill as well.

talked to Alex at the Milwaukee stop of Summer Slaughter after the show. He did say his band wants to play Madison again like they did in November 2010 so im pretty sure this line up will hit there especially since Alex said their doing a headliner that will cover markets SS did not. Misery Index and Hour Of Penance are SWEET support bands!

Well since Outland as far as I know is still 21+, that cuts out a lot of people.

Also maybe they're guaging it based on the turn out for BTBAM, which I ended up not going to since my roommate didn't want to go anymore since Periphery dropped. We had already bought tickets though, and I saw the show in StL, so it wasn't a big deal. Plus as far as I can tell, Remmington's is a shit hole.

INdeed it is, yet they still somehow find places to play. Never thought Eau Claire, WI would ever have any music place. They packed the Annex in Madison 2 years ago on a sunday night, 18+. So wednesday night 18+ should be a no brainer. and Ace Ventura hopes to show up at Madison as well!

Was the BTBAM show not a good turn out? Remington's isn't great but I don't know if I'd call it a shit hole. I need tickets soon. I think it will sell out.

cant even remember the last time a major straight up death metal headlined a show in maine. think the only appropriate sized venue for someone like cannibal in portland would be PCMH, but they rarely touch metal, and when they do its either stoner or deathcore crap. why this kinda stuff doesnt come to club texas or wallys or something is beyond me though.

Yeah I was thinking Wally's too. I live in Northern MA so that would be a little closer than RI for me, plus even the Palladium is a long way from Maine, so I don't get why more shows don't come up that way.

aside from radio metal bands, most metal shows dont draw all that well up here, so i get why its not worth it for a lot of bands to not go past say worcester, or why most venues or promoters wont touch the tours, but its still quite frustrating when even bands of the status of cannibal cant get something going. youd think there would be at least one crazy person willing to take a chance on these sort of tours, but there really isnt.

I know they're one of your favorite bands... but take a look at your signature! We are pretty lucky as it is. That Obituary tour is actually skipping a lot of big cities too.
