I think the Chain is too small for them. They headlined the Key Club last time they toured and usually play HOB.

Yeah, I'm betting this tour will hit one of those two venues. When I saw Napalm Death in 2008 with DevilDriver it was at the House of Blues, and I think it was sold out. As odd as that pairing was, I noticed that most of the crowd looked more like grindcore fans, and the pit was definitely more intense for Napalm Death.

NAPALM DEATH TO EMBARK ON 2012 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH MUNICIPAL WASTE + EXHUMED

Holy hell! The next incredible metal tour to hit North America has just been revealed. During our recent interview with Exhumed frontman Matt Harvey, the extreme metal legend revealed that Exhumed will soon be embarking on a 2012 tour with thrash party masters Municipal Waste and iconic grindcore innovators Napalm Death.

Rumors of the tour have been circulating for a little while now, so Harvey decided to officially spill the beans during our interview at New York City’s Summer Slaughter date. “It hasn’t been officially announced, but people are already hitting me up to get on the list for various shows, so obviously people seem to know about it. We’re doing a tour with Municipal Waste and Napalm Death in America and Canada,” reveals Harvey.

Take a moment to change your pants and read more of what Harvey had to say below.

“It looks to be pretty extensive from the tentative routing that I’ve seen, so it’s gonna be awesome,” says Harvey. “There’s gonna be some special guests getting confirmed as far as different regional bands, so it’s gonna be great. I mean, those are two of my favorite bands. Napalm is my favorite all-time grind, death, whatever you want to call it, band. We really weren’t gonna do any more touring, we were gonna try and record in November rather than in October, but it was the perfect tour for us, so we had to do it.”

No dates have been revealed yet, but stay tuned for more updates on this must-see metal tour.

Band is overrated as hell.

Exactly and to be honest, this is forum a big reason why I find to be so overrated. The minute I heard Black Future being uttered in the same breath as Rust in Peace and South of Heaven my head almost exploded. I believe Manks said that Black Future is the best thrash album since Reign in Blood, I'm going to be honest there are few things I've heard in the metal world that I disagree with more strongly than that. I can't even begin to start to fathom why they are worshiped as much as they on here or in general.

It's not just this forum. Across nearly every metal forum I'm on, Vektor is considered as good as everyone here says and I don't see it. I do like Black Future (haven't heard the new one), but there are a number of less original thrash bands I'd rather listen to.

I'm no thrash expert but it's pretty easy to understand why people love them so much. The problem with thrash metal today in general is that most bands look to just simply copy classic bands instead of attempting to make any progression within the genre whatsoever. Vektor are one of the few bands that even try to push the genre to new boundaries and that's the reason why I'd take them over 99% of today's thrash bands.

Their songs are too long and seem to go nowhere. His vocals are atrocious. That said, I'm not a fan of 99% of modern thrash, and I've always been a fan of the more punk/hardcore end of the genre. It's about the same size as the House of Blues (both are ~1000 capacity). With the tour also hitting Hollywood, I doubt this will sell out. Plus, I've been there a bunch of times and I think the only show that sold out was Kreayshawn. You might have been there before; it used to be the Galaxy Theater. Hahaha, I know. :eyes:

I think I already mentioned it a while back, but when I saw Napalm Death open for DevilDriver in 2008 (which was sold out), the crowd was definitely more into them. They are a big draw and this is an incredible lineup, but I don't think they will sell it out simply because there are two shows. @ tregh and Doom Sayer

I have only been to the Observatory once, but the constellation room which was where i was in was fairly small(Were else the observatory room is suppose to be pretty decent and fit a a good amount of people). I'm 100% sure that this show will not be in the Constellation room, if so then it will be fucking insane, especially since the constellation room doesn't have any rails or barricades so people could just hop on stage and jump off when ever they please.

Then again i haven't seen the Observatory room so maybe they're the same size? Especially since tregh since both rooms can fit up to 1000? Honestly, when I was in the constellation room for eyehategod it didn't seem like that room could fit 1000 people, hell but what do i know.

According to the website this show is on the main stage. The room for the main stage is much larger. Most of the time they have tables set up for dinner reservations though.

http://soundcheck.ocregister.com/files/2011/11/galaxyinside3.jpg

The Constellation room is only 300 capacity. Up until last year it was actually just a bar with some tables on the floor. After the venue was sold they renovated everything and then built the second stage and bought all the lights. Everything looks way nicer than it used to.

When I was in the constellation room for eyehategod I thought I was in a much nicer version of Chain Reaction, but with booze and liquor. We are super bummed that the Canadian border patrol has denied us entry to their otherwise fine country today and forced us to cancel our Halloween show in Montreal. We even had ridiculous costumes prepared! We are doing everything in our power to sort out the paperwork to make the Toronto show tomorrow, but it doesn't look too likely. In case we are forced to cancel Toronto as well, we would be stoked to jump on a metal / punk show in the Buffalo / Cleveland area tomorrow, please contact our agent, Dan Rozenblum at dan@thepantheonagency.com

We will do our best keep everybody up on the situation. In the meantime, cheers to our friends in the Waste, Napalm Death and Vektor who will tear Montreal several new orifices tonight!

For anyone in the Salt Lake City area, Exhumed have joined the Skeletonwitch/Havok/Mutilation Rites line-up at In the Venue tonight.

Exhumed have been denied entry into Canada.

Jesus Christ, it seems like it's easier to get into Mexico to play than it is for Canada...

I'm honestly thinking there needs to be someone that keeps track of bands denied entry into Canada. There's Exhumed, Morbid Angel (more than once), Gotham Road, Pretty Boy Floyd, Morgan O'Kane, Tinariwen...and that's just from the first page of "Bands denied entry into Canada" on Google.

It does seem overly strict in a lot of cases. Some other bands I know that have difficulties or have never got up here are: Nile, Born of Osiris, and Upon a Burning Body has had issues in the past as well if I recall correctly.
