That could've only been bad.

So, what was the purpose of this show?

So, what was the purpose of this show? Why do you think that? Do you think it's a bad song, or that Machine Head could do it no justice? Personally, I think it's one of the best rock songs of all time.

Do shows need purpose? Can't bands simply have a good time?

I don't think MH could've done Everlong good.

I don't think MH could've done Everlong good.Honestly, I didn't think so, either. They posted clips on Blabbermouth, though, and it actually wasn't too bad. The SoaD cover was pretty good, too.

I don't care much for Machine Head but that's a pretty cool show concept. I wish more bands did stuff like that. Looked at one of the videos briefly and it seems like there's quite a few people for it being a 'secret' gig though.

Really cool concept for a show and a really diverse set of covers. Kudos to Machine Head for doing this.

This. Other bands should do this more often. It's fun for everyone.

Everlong cover is pretty good. This concept is awesome, Twisted Sister do this as well as far as I know. I think it's cool because it shows the band haven't completely lost touch with just having fun and playing small shows. The show was advertised to their fan club I think, as I had known about it about 2/3 weeks previously. Anyway, good shit, this was definitely not just another Machine Head show!

I think this set is friggin awesome. The Pantera covers are fantastic and the songs they play off the Blackening are great. Wolves? Love that song. Pearls before the swine is top 3 on new album. I would actually spend $ to see this set.

Everlong is a great rock song IMO. Interesting, but still pretty cool setlist.
