I know its still too soon since they haven't posted the line up yet, please don't hate on me people. Atleast it's better than posting it two months before the show instead of posting ONE YEAR BEFORE the show like the mayhem fest threads. Anyways, a couple of months ago they announced that it would take place at the Echo/Echoplex on August 11th of this year, I am happy to inform you all that they just recently posted on there face book a couple of days ago that they will FINALLY be announcing bands starting next week.

Let the guessing game begin. :D

My guesses are Black Breath, Trash Talk, Nails, Seven Sisters of Sleep and Saint Vitus. I hope Sleep plays :D

Yep. And they rule fuckin hard. Pretty sure they'll be one of the openers. And since the Drummer is in Trash Talk there's a chance they'll play.

With a name like power of the riff, this festival while not necessarily catering to doom, sludge, and stoner should be about bands with sick ass grooves. That's why it should be like Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard, Sleep and Church of Misery.

Well I mean, last year they had Pentagram, Eyehategod, Winter and Pelican. That sounds like riffs galore to me.

OFF! and Dr. Know are cool bands, but definitely not what I think of when a name like Power of the Riff comes to mind. Hopefully they aren't the headliners.

If you started going to this fest in 2010, then you wouldn't be so upset about this years lineup. Just wait until they finalize the lineup.

I would still go to this fest but leave after Repulsion. I'm not a fan of the last two bands and I only know who Dr. Know is because of Slayers awesome cover of Mr. Freeze

Dammit! I was so confused for a second. I thought we were getting that for LA. I thought it was weird that Pentagram and Winter would play again and thought it was awesome I'd get a chance to see Negative Approach, then I saw the NY..

When they did Power of the Riff last year, the tickets were $30 a pop. Then they gave away $50 Converse gift cards at the door. I still have yet to attend another concert that I actually gained money from haha.
