Morbid Angel seems to be avoiding a US tour. Very nice lineup though! I'm excited for Accept, but I'd rather have this tour instead.

yeah what ever happen to that Morbid Angel U.S tour? Didn't they post a long ass time ago on face book that a tour is in the work? I'm sure there is a thread here some where that had it. If i'm correct it was a morbid angel tour thread, too bad that thread got barried awhile ago. Which probably tells me the tour is pretty much dead :hmm:

Yeah, the tour was supposed to be in March or April with Krisiun, Insomnium, and some other bands I can't remember. For some reason it was cancelled before it was even announced. They are supposedly going to tour here in the fall but there hasn't been any info yet.

Edit: found Mankvill's post

There were dates

There was a lineup

They had to reschedule the tour due to one of the band members getting surgery

The only date that is still on is MDF

So my guess is the new tour will take place in the summer.

Maybe they will just come play a one off date in hollywood for the fall since they seem to have a hard on for california. The key club in hollywood back in 2009, 2011 at scion rock fest and again in hollywod, they seem to love the folks in Cali :bliss: ;)

Nice one. I think Violator is the most "fashionable" of the re-thrash bands though.

I wouldn't mind that. :D

Or they might just go on the damn tour around the same time that MASTER does their North America tour. Which is not too far away in the distant future. ;)

OMG OMG OMG! It's almost like we were already talking about this tour in the other thread ;)

But yeah, would gladly swap this tour for the NA one. Going nowhere near this, even if they do add a London date.

Fortunately, Mille said they're definitely doing a UK tour, and Rock The Nation rarely book their tours in the UK, so got fingers crossed for a different bill here.

So there's a rumor floating around. According to a French promoter Morbid Angel will only be playing material from Altars of Madness and Blessed Are the Sick.

I find it odd that this was not announced along with the tour, so it could easily just be a ploy to sell tickets. I thought it would be worth posting in case it does turn out to be true though.

That would be amazing, though at the same time I would be disappointed if I saw Morbid (mind you, I've never seen them before) and didn't hear anything from Covenant or Domination. But the thought of them pulling out stuff like Brainstorm or Unholy Blasphemies is awesome.

HOLY FUCK

I would love to see a Blessed Are the Sick heavy centered setlist. I hope they do that here too.

Am I the only one who likes their later stuff (D-F) better then their early stuff? I like the first two but if they did that and I had the chance to see this I'd pass.

I'd love to see material from Formulas and Gateways but it seems without Tucker that the band isn't interested in playing that material.

They're only playing one song from Blessed right now, and about 7 from Covenant (or at least when I saw them that was the case). At the very least they should balance it out, but if they were to only play songs from the first two I'd be fine with it because those are my two favorites. I love the Tucker albums, and Domination, too but not more than Altars and Blessed.
