Will update a few songs at a time throughout the show for those who care.

Although I'm sure we can all predict most of it.

Unless there was a secret show in Aylesbury, UK none of us knew about, that this guy managed to predict the year before.

Even tho it'll be predictable I'm still kinda curious to see what this'll be. I'm doubting anything new. But who knows?

Yeah, based on Geezer saying that so far all the new material has been worked on without a drummer while they wait for Bill to sort his life out, I'm not expecting anything new.

Fuck yes!!! :rocker: :rocker:

Ward or no ward, I wish i was at this gig. That setlist.... sure it needs a lot more sabbatoge tunes and has your typical predictable tunes, but I did not expect some of those classic gems thrown on in there(especially "Wheels of Confusion/The Straightenr" and "Under the sun/everyday comes and goes which are my two of my all time favorite sabbath songs ever). :rocker:  :rocker:

How does the band sound. How is Tonys Guitar tone, pretty heavy?? :hmm:

Nice 12 thousandth post. If the setlist is accurate let's start taking bets on how far Ozzy makes it.

I agree 300% destiny. They are about to play Wheels of Confusion/The straightener, which is probably in my top ten sabbath tunes. I can't believe they threw that on that set, that is one gem I didn't expect to see. Raveneheart please let us know how the songs are coming out. Hopefully the songs are coming out heavy and amazing, even with the shitty drummer.

Edit: Just saw your post above me. Glad to hear that. :rocker:

Oh my god, they are probably playing "wheels of confusing" right now. Holy mother of god, I would be going all out right now at that show. Especially during the 2:50-4:00 minute mark of the song, that is my favorite part, never get tired of that epic part. I can't imagine how heavy and godly tonys guitar tone is coming out during that segment of the song. :punk:

This is a pretty awesome set. The one thing that's missing is Hand of Doom, which you'd think would be much easier for Ozzy to sing as opposed to say, Sweet Leaf.

Nor did I, it was just so easy to see that everyone justified in bitching because with the tour cancelled it didn't actually matter to them either way anymore. In actual fact the basic equation "black sabbath are playing = wish I could see them before Tony can't tour anymore" was always going to hold true.

They played everything that was posted by street burial except for Lord of This World and the sabbath bloody sabbath intro. I wonder why they had to cut Lord of This World out... That's probably my 2nd favorite song on Master of Reality and easily one of their heaviest songs(especially if you listen to that song on super expensive 200 dollar dre Beat head phones or Boss Head sets, or a car with a really good and really loud stereo system).

Here's the thing. Yes that setlist is great but Ozzy's sets always turn out long and awesome at the beginning, but about midway through the tour, the set gets cut down about 5 or 6 songs. and I can bet just about everything that the songs that get dropped are the songs people care about.

Well then it's a good thing that this isn't a tour. There are only three shows and they're all spread out, so they might be alright.

But now I remember that Ozzy is doing the Ozzy & Friends thing, so we'll see...

I'm glad that setlist was true for the most part. Thanks for confirming it Ravenheart. That would of been a killer show. I like the Vol. 4 material being included. I agree with the guy that said Supernaut should have been thrown in. That has to be my favorite Iommi riff.... I would like to see some Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath material in there. Sabbra Cadabra or Killing Yourself to Live. I'm not complaining though. That set changed alot since '05.

Sepultura69
05-19-2012, 11:46 PM
Throw in Hand of Doom, Sleeping Village, Planet Caravan, Supernaut and two or three songs off Sabatoge and this would easily be one of the best sets that sabbath has put out since their 2005 tour, And easily one of the best sets that the band has ever put out in their long ass career in heavy metal. But still, I aint complaining because this setlist is still stellar as fuck. I can't for the love of me even remember the last time they played some of those Volume four tunes, I know some of those songs haven't been played in fucking eons and eons, AND EONS, I know wheels of confusion hasn't been played in fucking years for sure(probably more than a couple decades? Correct me if i'm wrong folks).. It just makes me happy that they represented Volume four to the fullest, Snowblind, Under the Sun, Wheels of Confusion and Tomorrows dream are all stone cold classic gems, but I 100% agree with MPF on "Supernaut" being thrown in, That would just be icing on the fucking cake.

In the end, I'm really pissed I didn't get to see this. I seriously did not expect to see so much love for Vol. 4 being put on this list, especially since their was no vol 4 songs on the last sabbath tour/shows. :hmm:

Yes. Geezer said this a couple of days ago.

He was far better than last year on Ozzy's tour, but seems far too concerned with hitting everything as hard as possible. He didn't fuck anything up, in fact no one did, he played his ass off actually, but he didn't do all of the more deft fills songs like Fairies originally had.

You can't be surprised by that considering Iommi's guitar is the heaviest thing ever live. Especially if you're close to the stage, it just might give you permanent hearing damage.

Well they tuned down the guitars (anything that was originally in E was in D, anything that was in C# was in C), but he still had some trouble hitting the notes. Children of the Grave was painful to listen to. But most of the time that doesn't really matter if you're actually there, like you were. I'm sure for the most part it was fine though. When I saw him in '10 he was excellent.

Forgot to mention merch.

There was only one tour shirt (with all three dates on) and it kind of sucked. The front was a circle skull & cross-bones kind of thing, with the dates in a circle on the back. Didn't see anyone buy it.

The event shirt, which most people bought, was the same design as the poster (thankfully). There was a girls version of this, which was the only girls shirt available. Kind of disappointed that there wasn't a poster too.

Then there was a generic shirt which had the purple logo from Master of Reality small on the left breast, and a design on the back based on Sweet Leaf.

There might have been one other generic shirt, but I was mostly concerned with the event shirt. There was also a hoodie, which I didn't really get a good look at, and a baseball cap with the purple logo on the front.

I guess each of the three shows will have an event shirt.

No, you can just tell he's bouncing all over the place out of key. I don't expect a fantastic performance out of artists that have been around for more than 40 years, but damn if you can't execute your lines with some competence it's probably time to hang it up.
I've gotta give them a hand for pulling out some great songs instead of going through the standard set again but not doing them well puts a damper on things.
