It has been two years now since the metal world suffered one of it's greatest loses ever with the death of Ronnie James Dio. We not only lost one of the best singer/songwriters of all time but someone who by all accounts was the best person he could be and one of the single greatest ambassador's to the hard rock/metal genre.

Words cannot express how much Dio and his music has meant to me through the years and how much of an influence it was on me to become a diehard metal fan. All your fans miss you very much and the metal world is just not the same without you around.

Has it really been two years already? Shit...

Man on the Silver Mountain was one of the first songs that I remember ever hearing as a young child and I would get so excited every time it would come on the radio. I feel so horrible that I never got the opportunity to see him in action :(

It's still a little odd not being able to go see him live. Over a 7 year period I saw him six times either with Dio or with H&H. He was like a reliable fixture in my calendar.

I still wish I had seen the solo band. Never had a chance though.

Still my favorite metal singer ever. Got to meet Vinnie Appice the other night and told him he was a hero of mine for his work with Ronnie in Sabbath and Dio.

First metal concert I ever went to. Dio on the Last in Line Tour. November 1984.

I've seen Dio I think 8 times including with Sabbath and then with H&H.
