I assume this is the tour Mike Lessard from LC2R was talking about

Killer lineup, even if it makes no sense at all

Doesn't seem that weird to me...

It's not even as weird as the Volbeat/Hellyeah/Iced Earth bill, and that's not the weirdest ever.

mastodon421
04-30-2012, 03:49 PM
That's a fucking weird lineup (Voivoid is extremely, extremely out of place), but it's actually pretty sick. Still Hellyeah/Clutch wins for weirdest tour pairing I've ever heard of.

metallicbrian666

I feel like it may be two tours, the separation of bands is too weird

They're mostly just tours. To call a tour a festival just because it has more than five bands on it is retarded.

Fear Factory, Voivod, Cattle Decapitation, and Havok are gonna play 15 minutes away from your house and it's only a maybe?

I'm glad to hear this but the venue seems a little small. When Fear Factory came to NY a few days ago it was at the Gramercy which is 5 times bigger than Ollie's Point. I know that was with Shadows Fall but still.

Very odd bills that I've experienced....

ACDC/Anvil (Anvil in a small club, yes....Anvil in Gillette Stadium....fuck no)
Judas Priest/Whitesnake (Great show from both bands)
KISS/Buckcherry (Love KISS, hate Buckcherry)
Cheap Trick/Jellyfish (CT is awesome....don't get me started on Jellyfish)
Dream Theater/Trivium (DT is great, Trivium was ok)
Van Halen/Ky Mani Marley (The most boring opening act I've ever experienced)
Van Halen/Ryan Shaw (Great singer, but not a good opener for VH)
Van Halen/Kool & The Gang (ended up being pretty damn fun)
Marilyn Manson/The Pretty Reckless (Great show from both)

Weirdest lineup for me:

Nonpoint
