How was the merchandise selection? My father introduced me to Rammstein when I was about 8 or 9 years old, now 22. Rammstein hasn't played a show in MA since 1999. I was really looking to spend a great chunk on some solid looking merch.

I'm also very shocked to not see Ich tu dir Weh on there.

I would have loved to see them, but 110$ is way too expensive for me. :bouville:

No opener?

I posted this in another thread but here it is: The opener was Joe Letz from Combichrist doing Electro remixes of Rammstein songs. The other opener in Florida is a local band called Dirty Black Halo and Rubber Doll (latex fetish model) tweeted that she will be joining Rammstein on stage in some form so no word on that yet.

It comes as no surprise they kept the same set as Europe but I was really betting on them closing with Amerika since they closed with Moskau in Moscow and Fruhling In Paris in Paris. Either way I'll be in Philadelphia next week hopping in line around 2:00 PM.

Joe was the only opener, if you can call it that. And the girl came on during Bürch Dich to spank Till. I have video.

i'm seeing them next sunday on long island. i can't wait. saw them at their MSG show december 10, on cinco de mayo (dressed as mexicans with my friends) in jersey, and now at nassau colliseum. 3 times in 15 months....not too shabby.

I don't see why they wouldn't do it, but do they still do the simulated rape thing in Buck Dich? Also, your original post at 2:39am said DeathStars were the openers.... they weren't?

"Sonne" is a weird one to open with. It's more of a mellow song. I figured they'd open with "Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen"

Yeah, Sonne is a more "first encore" opener in my book.

Hell, if I had a say in this stuff, I'd break out the more obscure (compared to Du Hast, Feuer Frei, or Sonne) stuff for this tour - Alter Mann, Das Alte Leid, Adios, Der Meister, etc.

...Personal ranting aside, I'm still exited for this tour.

I agree but any two hour Rammstein set is good in my book. If I had to pick any song for them to add it would be Seemann, that to me is the perfect closer. Plus Reise, Reise would be the perfect opener for me since Sonne just feels weird to open a show. My obscure picks would be Heirate Mich, Das Modell (or Kokain), Adios, Wilder Wein, and Spiel Mit Mir.

But isn't this tour being advertised like a greatest hits tour? And it's not like people can say " aww, man I've seen them do this song like 10 times already!"

At both the Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale shows he did not, he has a "Dark Knight Rises" Bane style mask that shoots water. And my first post said there was that band as an opener? Odd... There was only the DJ.

Your original(first post, not re-edit) post said that you got there as 'DeathStars' were ending, but I assume you just thought it was them, or something.

edit #1 However, I've already seen them play that song the way they used to do it, so no big deal.

Edit #2 watching a YouTube video of it being played in England, it looks like they did it they old way overseas, they're just not doing it here.

How odd, as I do not remember writing that at all... Nor would I have confused that they were even there, seeing as I was there when doors opened

Last question, how much was merchandise?

Last question, how much was merchandise?

$30 for a shirt, $20 for a scarf, $100 for a jacket.

An actual jacket (like what Sascha from KMFDM owns), or a hoodie?

Were they actual tour shirts? Last time all they had were the shirts you can buy online. Not one had dates.

totally different set than last year. I love it!

As much as I was looking forward to headbanging to the new stuff like Buckstabu or Weiner Blut, I can't wait to hear so much of the OG stuff. Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen and Buck Dich are definitely highlights for me. They need to get rid of something, I don't care what and play 'Los' like they did on Volkerball

Doors were at 7 in Lauderdale, 6:45 in Tampa. Joe goes on at 8:30 (or 30 minutes prior to Rammstein, as he plays right up until they come out).

Yea, but is it a tour shirt? I think I saw that one on their official merch site-

https://www.rammsteinshop.de/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=829

that?
