I received word today that SoaD is embarking on a US (that was obvious) and that Korn is in talks to open a few dates & perhaps the entire tour.

In 1999 I would have been all over this, but I didn't like the last two SoaD albums or the last...eight KoRn albums?

Like or love every single SOAD album apart from Hypnotize. Bring it on.

If Korn doesn't play a bunch of dubstep shit, I'm fine with them being there. They were awesome at Mayhem a couple of years ago. Anyways, I don't give a shit who System has opening, I'm going.

I wouldn't mind having to sit through Korn if they play a normal set but if they play any of that dubstep shit I would have to make sure I show up late.

Seeing SOAD in August at Heavy TO, and i've seen Korn 6 times, so I'll be fine if this skips over me, even though I love both bands.

or the last...eight KoRn albums?

Path of Totality is their 10th. So you stopped liking them after Life is Peachy?

Well, that's actually when a lot of people tapped out on Korn.

Well, that's actually when a lot of people tapped out on Korn.

When I was 13, I fucked off after See You on the Other Side - Korn II (I called it that before Korn III even existed) blew to me. Luckily, I saw them on their 2009 tour when they played all the older shit and I almost died of happiness.

As far as guilty pleasures go, I still like everything up to SYotOS, but if you honestly asked me, I'd tap out after Life is Peachy, since they started to get less "catchy" and the songs and albums started blending together after Follow the Leader in my opinion.

Back on topic - if this comes to Central Texas, I'll probably fork up the cash to go.

Yup.

Follow the Leader had maybe three or four songs I actually liked but was too polished, Issues was a bit better and Untouchables had three songs I liked. By time whatever album came out after that (See You on the Other Side?) I had moved on.

I'd like to see System again since I missed the first 1/3 of their set (probably the meatiest part), but Korn is a big negative.

Issues is the best Korn album.

Korns last tour they played 4 dubstep songs but the way they played it live it sounds nothing like dubstep.

I haven't seen SOAD since their time in clubs, last time was Slayer/Clutch/System at Avalon in Boston, but have a friend who became a big fan later and couldn't get to one of their bigger shows to ever see them period so a potential MA/New England date is blowing his mind.

No guarantee the Korn/SOAD tour will happen or no guarantee SOAD will do a US tour? Im not really a fan of Korn but Ive been wanting to see SOAD for years

Wow that would have been an ungodly amazing show & oddly paired show at that.

I think I am the only one out of my group of friends that can't stand SoaD. I would avoid this at all costs.
