Looks like 5FDP will tour later this year with KsE as coheadliner. No LoG either from what I am hearing.

I've heard from 2 different sources that 5FDP is taking another well known band from the first day of Heavy MTL on a tour with them that 5FDP is headlining.

Heavy MTL first day:
Saturday August 11, 2012
System Of A Down
Five Finger Death Punch
Killswitch Engage
Cannibal Corpse
Between The Buried And Me
Job For A Cowboy
Kataklysm
Periphery
The Faceless
Veil Of Maya
Goatwhore
Fleshgod Apocalypse
Rose Funeral
Origin
Exhumed

That wasn't hard to figure out at all ;)

MPF

Please let it be System of a Down and not Periphery.

Periphery's on SS already, and there's no way 5FDP would headline over SOAD

That is true MPF. Its also too obvious to see that Gojira & High On Fire will likely tour with LoG and whoever else they tour with.

Also, other bands not on MTL could be touring then, such as Down, Lacuna Coil, Volbeat, Mastodon, etc.

exposure, both bands could use it

Chimaira has only done 2 US runs since releasing their last album(and none since the new lineup has started) and both were small club runs, not to mention having previously toured with both 5FDP and KSE

Adrenaline Mob hasn't done any touring yet and 5FDP seemed like the kind of band they could do well with

A couple days ago, Battlecross posted a video to their YT talking about "Trespass America" (wasn't made clear if it was a festival or tour). And they were answering questions if they met 5FDP or KsE. They took down the video after a little bit.

I tried looking everywhere for more information about this, but no dice. It doesn't seem out of the question though.

No it's more of a money issue. Minneapolis/St. Paul is one of the biggest markets in the Midwest. South Dakota and Iowa are not. If this tour was more about filling venues, they would hit MN instead.

Isn't it much easier to fill a venue in a largely populated "A" market then a less populated "B" market, just based on the fact that there's more people to grab in terms of interest?

god forbid/battlecross off date at mojoes 7/20
http://theticketrumba.com/tickets/1131

the NJ date of this tour no longer has Emmure listed, and has a "special guest to be announced May 21st"
im thinking its just emmure. they are headlining a stage of bamboozle this weekend, and the 21st is the day after the festival ends. while the prudential center's website refers to this band as a "special guest", starland ballroom's website simply says "an artist to be announced May 21st".

Why couldn't Mojoes get a good offdate like Emmure, Trivium, and KSE.

Because it's the same day as Agalloch and the fates are telling you to go to that. :D

Because anything with Emmure and Trivium on it wouldn't be a good offdate;) All kidding aside, I wish there was a KSE/God Forbid offdate near me so I wouldn't have to consider going to a show where most of the bands suck just to see KSE with Jesse.

I just saw Trivium on Tuesday and it was by far one of the greatest performances I've ever seen.

HAH! worcester dcu center show downgraded to boston house of blues

i.e. 14,800 capacity to 2,425

i wonder how/if its going to affect the lineup, 7 bands in that place could be a logistical clusterfuck

the first year they did Gigantour they did the HOB in Atlantic City and majority of the bands would only have half the stage for their gear to minimalize setup

Holy shit, I might go now. Last time I saw Killswitch at the House of Blues it was one of the craziest shows I've ever been to.

the funniest thing about the downgrade is that its the second time in a row 5FDP had to do that for a mass date. last november their tour with ATR & hatebreed was originally supposed to be at tsongas arena (7800 cap) and they moved it to the palladium (2000).

They've done well in Philly, we don't have small level arenas anymore but they packed a club with around 4,000 capacity(I think) and this tour is hitting their big outdoor stage by the river that houses arena level bands like Shinedown, Incubus, 311, etc

Its hard for these bands to compete against Mayhem/Uproar with other tours in a horrible economy. They should have had this tour starting at the end of May. Alot less competition that way.

Personally I would jump in front of traffic to go to this but since there is no IL date I can't.

That's because that weak stuff doesn't fly up here in New England.

Now that they moved to the HoB Boston, they can feel free to drop FFDP from the bill and let KsE headline, they could probably almost sell that place out on a Friday up here. The rest of the lineup is definitely more of a KsE-type bill, except for the oddballs.

I wonder who came up with this bill, it's almost as weird as that cancelled Shockwave tour.
